Everyone’s complaining about the fact that this Animal Farm movie undercuts Orwell’s critique of communism, which is true. But, message aside, I think it’s just as bad that they’ve taken a serious and intelligent story and turned it into a goofy slapstick farce complete with fart jokes. It’s like making a Crime and Punishment adaptation and turning it into a romantic comedy. No respect for the source material at all. A cynical cash grab. If you want to make a dumb movie about farm animals, make your dumb movie about farm animals. Positioning it as an adaptation, while making no attempt to capture either the tone or meaning of the author’s original work, is an insult.

About once a year or so, like groundhog day, the right has to go full retard for a couple days and do a factory reset back to 1992. Does faith really demand that we never go to war? I don’t believe that—and I explain why.
I take on this growing idea that religion—whether Christianity or Judaism—requires total passivity, even in the face of evil, violence, and mass suffering. That’s not how I understand faith. True faith values decency, humanity, and the protection of innocent life.
So the real question is this: if you have the power to stop evil—to prevent torture, murder, and destruction—are you supposed to do nothing?
I walk through the difference between wars of aggression and just wars, and why protecting the innocent can be a moral obligation, especially for those in positions of authority. But I also acknowledge the complexity—these decisions require prudence, judgment, and an understanding of consequences.
This is where faith, morality, and real-world responsibility intersect—and where the answers aren’t always easy, but they are necessary.

I'd encourage normal people -- wonderful podcasters and others who are decent and patriotic and civic-minded -- to stop going on these Woke Reich neo-fascist shows and participating in these absurd "debates." Stop lending your credibility to their shows and platforms. They rely on you to give them something they cannot give themselves -- integrity. They are grifters, conspiracy nuts, bigots, antisemites, Christian-bashers, Trump-haters, MAGA-pretenders, and so forth. I am not saying ignore them. In fact, they must continually be exposed and challenged. But joining them is a mistake. Just some friendly advice to the good guys and gals out there.
