@lance358436 @mes4icon I asked why about what? There was a conversation at heavy duty pickups and you decided you wanted to get into it like a SUV was a truck. I can give a crap if someone is driving a electric, hybrid, whatever. The point of a diesel 3/4 ton or heavier truck is to pull, that’s it.

Whenever I see someone who has a diesel pickup and doesn’t need one, I just think why? I have a diesel, it benefits meaningfully a couple times a year. It is not worth it. But it’s an 08 Ford so no one else wants either, that’s the only reason I still have it.

@msiobhanjordan @MetamateDaz Is telling the truth wrong. Buying power is not the same as inflation. Inflation is a number made up by the government and they choose the bundle of goods to make the figures.

@MetamateDaz Why do you lie? The federal minimum wage in 1970 was $1.60 per hour. Adjusted for inflation, this is equivalent to roughly $13 an hour in 2026 dollars.

If you make under $66 an hour you're making less than minimum wage in 1970 purchasing power.

@iamyourfarmer @mes4icon I've worked on enough spit and shutters that the fuel gauge never reads full. I've seen guys dump more money into a gas hog then a diesel. People can do what they want. I run a diesel equinox. Is it spose to pull something? 40mpg has been awesome.

@lance358436 @mes4icon I don’t need to realize anything beyond cost/mile. My diesel and gas trucks get similar fuel mileage and diesel cost a dollar more. I’m a guy who can justify a diesel, maybe you are. But if you don’t need to really pull something often, it doesn’t make sense.

@iamyourfarmer @mes4icon When comparing gas prices to diesel fuel prices. You need to realize gas has been degraded more over the years. Use to buy 93 octane at the pump then we get to 85-86. Less btu. Now diesel is mainly the same other then sulfur. So price high gas to high diesel .

@mes4icon Diesel is 20% more at the pump, way more expensive to work on, maybe the fuel economy has gotten better again, but that went away with emmisions

@Aztech_Ag @PioneerSeeds We're trying it this year.. have a friend in Northern Iowa that had it and did 320 some bushel across an 80 ac field, was around 24% avg. Was loaded with hog manure. Hope its good this year again

Has anyone planted this @PioneerSeeds number before? We'll see if I can get it under 24% this fall.

It’s remarkable how abused pro se litigants are in the courts by judges and opposing lawyers. I’ve seen it occur time and time again in my 20 years of practice. Anytime there is a court in session in this country and the rights of individuals are at stake, there should be a livestream camera rolling for the public to observe; yet, in many courthouses, we are not even allowed to so much as take a picture of the court’s file or record video or audio of a proceeding in open public court. The rights of innocent people die everyday in empty courtrooms with no record made as to what occurred.
