I’m personally too concerned with running an agent on my obsidian vaults because they are not managed by git- I can’t easily view diffs of the working directory before committing and undo multiple file changes in one command. Also there’s the privacy considerations.. I’m ok with not having AI features in my notes. There are plugins for those who want them

AI agents built into cloud apps will always be sub-par compared to state of the art agents that you can use with Obsidian. This is because your Obsidian data is in your control, in plain text formats that are ideal for LLMs to process. You can choose to run any of the best-in-class agents and AI tools: Claude, Gemini, OpenAI Codex, etc. You also have the choice to run local models and privacy-preserving options. Or you can use none of these and enjoy not seeing sparkly AI buttons everywhere. Remember that cloud-based note-taking apps are not end-to-end encrypted. This is inherently less secure, open to breaches, and allows companies to make your private thoughts part of their training set. Obsidian is not working on adding agents because we don't have to. We'll let the AI labs focus on that. We're 4 developers and our focus is on making great editing tools for plain text Markdown files that are always in your control.

The problem I have with Greta, is that she doesn't offer an actual solution. She just says we need to "take action". The world doesn't need more people to simply protest. That's the easy part! Renewables are not the cheap, easy, environmentally friendly, reliable source of energy they were advertised to be. If they were they would be everywhere by now. More people are figuring this out. Rather than offer Nuclear as the best option in a world full of trade offs, Greta just offers the obvious "take action". I suspect she knows that offering an actual solution will make a proportion of her supporters cranky. It's so weak. But then again, she is a child. Making the mistake to elevate/portray her as a voice of reason, is a collective responsibility.

As the COP29 climate meeting is reaching its end, it should not come as a surprise that yet another COP is failing. The current draft is a complete disaster. But even if our expectations are close to non-existent, we must never ever find ourselves reacting to these continuous betrayals with anything but rage. The people in power are yet again about to agree to a death sentence to the countless people whose lives have been or will be ruined by the climate crisis. The current text is full of false solutions and empty promises. The money from the Global North countries needed to pay back their climate debt is still nowhere to be seen. The host country - Azerbaijan - is a repressive and authoritarian petro-state that has committed ethnic cleansing and genocidal acts towards Armenians. Civil society present at COP29 are being silenced, yet continue fighting and pushing negotiators towards the bare minimum. All this while oppression, inequalities, wars and genocides all over the world continue to intensify. Those in power are worsening the destabilisation and destruction of our life supporting ecosystems. We are on track to experience the hottest year ever recorded, with the global greenhouse gases reaching an all time high just last year. It is clear that our current systems are not working in our favour. The COP processes aren’t just failing us, they are part of a larger system built on injustice and designed to sacrifice current and future generations for the opportunity of a few to keep making unimaginable profits and continue to exploit planet and people. With every negotiation, with every speech made by a world leader and with every agreement they sign, it becomes clear that it is up to us as a global collective to take the action we so desperately need and show where the leadership truly lies. They are not going to do it for us, as this COP29 yet again proves. #COP29 #PayUp #ClimateJusticeNow

Odjednom umjetne krize, nacionalisti, hop-cup, pa ffwd u krvoproliće. Isti likovi dan danas na vlasti. Moj plemenski vođa ima toliko imovine, Tita bi po ćevape slao.

I danas nam veliki vođa plemena bošnjaka baca šuplju kako će svima dati sve od ne zna ni on sam odakle, pa ne prolazi.
