A very painful year. Mainly because I almost had it. A could-have-been year. Sad.

I refined this a little. 9 years 23.1r Annual average 9% maximum drawdown. Now I need create an uncorrelated strategy to this.

@theagnft Maybe i exaggerated a bit when i said “luxury,” but it’s still a high end/premium two room apartment in one of the richest neighborhoods.

What people don’t realize is that buying power differs between countries. $160,000 in profit in Romania can get you a luxury apartment in one of the richest neighborhoods. And no, we don’t pay 50% in taxes. In the West, it would probably get you nothing. The percentage growth relative to where you started is the important and impressive metric when compared to the average wage. We don’t all start with five figure salaries.

Went full on yolo discretionary on this FT account today because i dont believe they will be in business much longer and i'd be hugely surprised if i get anymore payouts from them. We shall see. Up until those changes, i was really happy with their service. CEO hasnt said a word and teh trustpilot 1 star reviews are piling up

When you have a mortgage and dependencies, there is always something you need to buy/replace or repair. And all my payouts this year have been eaten up, don't get me wrong it has massively helped but this latest payout is going to be on sizing up my trading. Larger account, straight to funded, no messing around wasting time with challenges when I can actually trade. Bring on the Xmas deals, 2026 is the time I level up and really start the motions in place for it to eventually replace my full time job. 6 years in the making and the light in the tunnel is getting brighter

I can request another payout in about two days. Requesting payouts in a month like this is crazy. There’s literally no trend, and i’m trading dozens of instruments. It makes me think i’m getting closer to what i set out to achieve: Complete orthogonality across accounts, across dozens of firms.

I’m always having this debate about hedge fund performance versus retail or prop firm traders. I keep saying that around 90% of hedge funds don’t beat the S&P 500, But at least many of them are still profitable even without outperforming it. Now look at prop firm traders: 96.5% never even make it to a payout with futures firms Despite the fact that this environment is easier than real markets, since the business model requires a much smaller edge to get paid. Some traders even manage a payout without having any real edge at all. When you compare that to professionals, it’s mind blowing. It’s pure hypocrisy. I mean, 96.5% losing money come on
