@CarliLloyd This is so silly. Megan doesn’t have to comment on every issue involving WoSo. You think she doesn’t agree that the Iranian women’s players should be given asylum and kept safe? Who wouldn’t? She got nonsensically mentioned by trans-baiters who think there’s a gotcha in this.

Right. Not even remotely a stretch of logic, but just something most people haven't considered if they think physical gold = a gold iou, or mstr = bitcoin exposure etc

@MikeMcDonald89 It’s simple. No one will ask to redeem it in normal times cause it’s not convenient and if we get times that you need your bricks I’m pretty sure that government will sit on it.

@knndlll @WNBA The video shows a last-second runner making the score 81-78 for LAS over DAL, not 81-80 as stated. Searches show a recent Sparks-Wings game ended 97-96 with Plum scoring 28, but no 81-80 result. The post's score appears incorrect.

"NYC’s so-called ‘Beautification Squad’ is making waves—planting flowers & trees to block speed cameras, claiming it’s for ‘beauty’ but conveniently sparing drivers from tickets. A creative protest or crossing the line? Check out these photos and decide for yourself.

@MattDoyle76 @AlexiLalas Ironically, the Spanish league being so uncompetitive and top heavy means that a majority of their core has played together for years and is why they’re ranked #1. True in past with France and Germany too.

@alykatzz @NYCParks @tanaz115 ...Not to mention that this dude lives in a 13-story building. There is literally nothing built around...70% of his apartment because it's on a major corner. For a tree to provide shade to this poor dude's sundrenched window...that's a big tree.

@alykatzz @NYCParks @tanaz115 Two minutes of research -- there are trees planted all along Queens Blvd, stopping a block before Chandrashekar’s apartment -- because Queens Blvd runs over the Van Wyck outside of the apt. ...not a good place for a tree.

@alykatzz @NYCParks @tanaz115 Seems like a relevant note would have been to say whether NYC Parks employees plant the trees paid for via CPF. Seems like no, correct? (and therefore seems less terrible if CPF is filling a need Parks can't need....which is sort of the point)

@AndrewPetcash Plus Starbucks has tons of stores - more than they even know! - so very possible that the true number could be $146 trillion.

@AndrewPetcash Great series Andrew & your research has unearthed a really exciting prospect: if Starbucks sells 4 million cups of coffee / day and charges $1,000 each, they would make $1.46 trillion a year.

Tough decision for McDaniels. Do you keep running the same play until the defense proves it can stop it? Or do you mix it up because you expect the defense to finally figure it out?
Ryan Hannable@RyanHannable

Cam Newton on @TheGregHillShow said he would run the last play again vs. Seattle: "The same damn play. ... For me, we ran the play 4 times and we were successful 3 of the 4 times and the last time was the 4th play." Said after reviewing tape, he could've bounce it outside.

@kashhill @lopp When you get a weird spammy phone call where no one is on the other line...what if someone is making a database of voicemail / voice recognition data that is tied to individual phone numbers...which can probably also be tied to names, photos, etc?

The privacy paranoid among us have long worried that all of our online photos would be scraped to create a universal face recognition app. My friends, it happened and it’s here: nytimes.com/2020/01/18/tec…

@PressHerald @StephenKing I agree. I read those papers for free because I work for a university that does pay for subscriptions. (I also take classes, which is another means by which I can read a lot of things for free.). BTW, you missed an Oxford comma :)
