From today’s session in the Screwtape Letters challenge with Fr. John Riccardo of @ActsXxix: As you think about your life right now—your present situation, your faith, your enthusiasm, or lack of it—invite the Lord in, in a new way. Take a moment and try to picture Him standing right now, like a visitor standing at the door of your house. Jesus is knocking, wanting to come in, wanting to give you whatever grace you most need at this very moment. Just as you would if you heard a knock at your door, choose now to go and open the door of your heart and mind to Jesus. Imagine what Jesus’ face looks like as you open the door. Is He smiling? Eager to come in? Pay attention to how you're feeling as you see Him. What's going on inside you?

The generosity and impact of your work through @thebig3 and through Nancy Lieberman Charities are truly remarkable. The organization's dedication to providing opportunities for underserved youth across education, health & wellness, and career/life readiness has made a significant difference in countless lives. Most of the time you don't need more information, you need more courage.

Most leaders value loyalty. Great leaders put a higher premium on integrity. Loyalty is allegiance to power. You're expected to show deference and follow orders. Integrity is allegiance to principles. You're expected to challenge orders that violate your mission or values.

It is with deep gratitude and profound sadness that I share the passing of the amazing man that was Robert Yaccarino — my father.   He dedicated his entire life to serving his country and community and to loving his family. He was a proud Navy man and became the Chief of Police in Nassau County, NY. Our father was a true patriot.  Bob and Isabel Yaccarino raised three daughters to believe they could do anything. Our parents had a simple plan — work as hard as they could to give their daughters a better life — and that they did. And when it came to advice on life (or anything) my father was clear and direct.  In fact, before I started my first job in the television business my father sat me down and said “Linda, I may not know anything about media but here is what I do know. In this life, there is right and wrong and that applies to any business. The right decisions are not always the quickest and they’re often the toughest. Do the right things.” Fast forward many years later — he was my biggest inspiration and cheerleader. I will desperately miss my morning text messages of daily articles about X — Dad was very worried I would miss some! And every day he would urge me to stay focused and keep going. Well Dad, thank you for all the courage you passed on to me and how much you believed in our family. And don’t you worry, we will carry on!  At ease, Chief.  Rest in God’s glorious peace. Your family loves you.

A key to steady progress is prioritizing goals over moods. Whether you aim to get in shape, learn the guitar, or write a book, the question is not whether you feel like it today. It's who you want to become tomorrow. Enthusiasm fluctuates. Consistent action accumulates.

To those claiming that X under Elon Musk isn’t doing enough to protect users, consider Linda Yaccarino’s testimony, just now, to the the fact that the platform literally suspended more than 500% the number of accounts under their child sexual exploitation policies last year, when compared to the year in which Elon Musk took over in November. Stop letting the media and haters drive the narrative, and look at the stats.

It’s often overlooked that MLK’s dream was divisive in his day. Resistance is not a signal of failure. It’s often a clue that you’re ahead of your time. Visions for change elicit opposition from defenders of the status quo. Rocking the boat is a precursor to progress.

“I am who I am” is not a sign of a strong identity. It’s a mark of a closed mind. A rigid sense of self is a barrier to growth. It makes you a prisoner of your past. Prior patterns don't have to dictate future decisions. Who you've been shouldn't limit who you become.
