This is what happens when a plane hits a firetruck but if it hits the twin towers it will knock them down

@WilGunter Not sure how much you watched this year, but any team with length and size at the guard spot absolutely exposed him. He could not defend nor create any offense against top tier SEC guards. Probably not the league for him TBH. I was rooting for him, but not ready.

Little more thought on Eli Ellis entering the transfer portal. * I like the skill of Ellis and think he can be a HM point guard. Lack of athleticism holds him back in the SEC but he is strong with the ball, a skilled passer and has high bball IQ. * Ellis isn’t going to blow by people and while he has good footwork in the lane, I think the less often he is in there trying to score, the better * Not sure how Ellis is off the court but on the court he played with as much heart and emotion as anyone the Gamecocks had. Given the current situation, I think you try to convince him to stay but not sure how the staff felt.

So you mean to tell me, an airplane can go right through the World Trade Center that had steel structure beams of 4 inch plate every 40” using 12 different grades of steel with a yield strength of 100,000 psi but if the same plane were to run into a firetruck on a runway the plane is completely destroyed. Got it!

@BenVolin They are only atrocious for the East Coast.. why does it only matter in the East? Either stay up or don't. It's also been like this for YEARS!! You'll get some clicks tho. I clicked.

Florida is out. Houston hasn’t won. St. John’s hasn’t won. Arkansas hasn’t won since 1994. Arizona hasn’t won since 1997. You don’t trust Iowa State. You don’t trust Nebraska. You don’t trust Purdue. You don’t trust Texas. You don’t trust Iowa. Who is going to WIN March Madness?

Kevin Durant says it’s bigger then stats with Michael Jordan: “MJ is just bigger than the game. I mean, no matter who passes him in stats or who wins more, it’s going to be hard to win. Go 6-0. Even if you were to pass him in anything, just his impact on the sport and just culture in general is just too big.” (Via @boardroom)

@jcshurburtt The word around these parts is some of the fellas enjoy their off time a little too much. The motivation and desire to be a champion seems to be lost at SC. Roth is 100% right. The alumni and past players need to be heavily involved to get this back on track.

On top of everything else, the KJ Scobey era type of thing (one of the best players with a critical mistake late) this academic year for the Gamecocks. -LaNorris Sellers fumble against Alabama. -Meechie Johnson dribbling out the clock against VT -Scobey airmailing this throw I am certainly not casting 100 percent of the blame for those losses on any one of those players individually, but when your best players make those types of errors in critical situations across three sports along with all of the losing, it has to be tough.

Unfortunately bad teams find ways to lose… that was gut wrenching right there! DAMNIT! #CB90

Paul Mainieri full statement: Jeremiah Donati and I have agreed that the baseball program will be better served with new leadership. I take full responsibility for the win/loss record of the baseball program over the 80 games I have served as head coach. When Ray Tanner invited me to come out of three years of retirement to coach again, my goal was to work with young people again and restore the South Carolina program to greatness with a return to Omaha. My staff and I have worked diligently in an attempt to accomplish that goal. Unfortunately, that goal has not materialized as quickly as I would have liked and will take more time than I had anticipated and that is time that I just don’t have at my age. I want to make it clear that Ray Tanner, Jeremiah Donati, President Amiridis, and the university leadership have supported me and the baseball program throughout my tenure. In short, I did not get the job done at a level that I expected, or the university deserves. As I go into retirement again (and for the final time), I reflect on how fortunate I have been to do what I Iove most – coaching college baseball and trying to impact young lives – for more than 40 years at five wonderful institutions. St. Thomas University, the United States Air Force Academy, the University of Notre Dame, LSU, and the University of South Carolina, will always hold a special place in my heart. The young men that I have had the honor to coach will always be foremost in my thoughts. It is my hope that their success in life and contributions to society will be my lasting legacy. It is time for me to rejoin my family and be the best husband, father, and grandfather that I can be.
