@shafaquealamTOI This road is dangerous specially in night. Since the height of road is quite high from adjacent roads, there is a risk of falling due to absolutely no maintenance. To make the condition worse, illegal mining trucks ply day and night often against flow of traffic.

@NoidaUpdatesX I don't understand what was the problem with first and original alignment going directly from Sector 51 towards Greater Noida west. If people can walk in Kalka ji and Hauz Khas to change trains, they can do it here as well. The need here is the same ticketing of Delhi and Noida.

@ChiefSecyUP @spgoyal @AwasthiAwanishK @sanjaychapps1 @IasAlok

Shankar Chowk is turning out to be Gurugram's Strait of Hormuz. One choke point holding up the city's most expensive commercial belt. DLF has now filed a proposal with GMDA for an overpass above the existing underpass to save it. DLF is not spending its lobbying capital on a public road out of goodwill. DLF is doing this because Cyber City's entire commercial value sits on one assumption: people can enter and exit in a predictable time window at 9 AM and 7 PM. If that assumption breaks, Cyber City stops being Cyber City. Rents soften. Tenants start renegotiating renewals. New leasing takes longer to close. Every rupee of pricing power DLF holds across Cyber City, Cyber Hub, Horizon Center and every future asset it plans around this belt depends on one boring thing. Shankar Chowk clearing at peak hour. When a developer of DLF's size starts filing traffic proposals with GMDA, that is asset defense dressed up as urban planning. Now the part almost no buyer in this city wants to hear. Popular narrative says Cyber City is prime because office density is deep and tenants are premium. Half true. Cyber City is prime because access has been engineered, re-engineered and defended for 2 decades. The moment access breaks, the premium collapses. Any good commercial asset in Gurugram is 1 broken choke point away from losing 10 to 20% of its real usability, and eventually its pricing. Cyber City is not immune. Golf Course Road is not immune. SPR is not immune. Dwarka Expressway is not immune. The most valuable belts in this city are held together by 4 or 5 turning movements. If any one of those turns collapses, the address inside starts leaking value even if the building is spotless. Look at what Shankar Chowk actually is today. A stack of 6 movement systems on a piece of road designed for far less. NH-48 through traffic. Cyber City office movement, both directions. Udyog Vihar Phase V. Golf Course Road and Sohna Road & SPR feed. Rapid Metro and Cyber City metro station load. And now the RRTS station Haryana approved earlier this year. Even after an underpass, a rapid metro, service roads, U-turns and multiple police trials, the most premium commercial address in North India still cannot clear its own front door at 9 AM. The overpass is the latest patch. GMDA approval is pending. Timeline is unknown. By next weekend brokers in that belt will already be using this news in site visits. A proposal is not a fix. A filing is not a flyover. Now zoom out. If Cyber City, the most engineered commercial node in North India, still needs another overpass in 2026, every other belt in this city is on thinner ice than the brochures suggest. Golf Course Extension is 1 signal failure away at the Sector 55 to 56 merge. SPR is 1 poor design decision away at Vatika Chowk. Dwarka Expressway is still hostage to Kherki Daula. New Gurugram already is 1 flyover delay at Dadi Sati Chowk. Every serious buyer paying 3 CR to 10 CR in this city is really buying a bet on 4 or 5 choke points staying functional for the next 10 years, whether they realise it or not. Most of them studied the clubhouse. Almost none of them studied the turns. A premium address without a working choke point is a discounted address in slow motion. Access is the actual asset. The building just sits on it.

@NoidaUpdatesX These buses are operated by UPSRTC, which runs intercity buses not intracity buses. Calling these buses 'city bus' is fooling the public, as these will mostly go to Greater Noida or Airport. Noida will be operating 'true' city buses from next year which is in the tender process.

"Before you take this decision, strengthen the infrastructure and the knowledge level of judges." Senior Advocate Chander Lall says the discussion around Delhi High Court's proposed jurisdiction hike should begin with strengthening district courts. According to him, better infrastructure, more judicial resources, and enhanced expertise are essential before transferring a larger share of commercial litigation to the district judiciary. He argues that while stronger district courts are the future, such a transition cannot happen through a sudden jump from ₹2 crore to ₹10 crore. “Should access to the Delhi High Court depend on who can afford it?” Senior Advocate Jayant Mehta cautions that the proposed jurisdiction hike could make the Original Side accessible only to those able to bear significantly higher court fees. He says the Bar was never against revisiting the threshold—but meaningful consultation was essential. Do you agree? “Has somebody asked us? Perhaps not.” Senior Advocate Rajshekhar Rao questions the process behind the proposed enhancement of the Delhi High Court’s pecuniary jurisdiction to ₹10 Crores, saying the issue is not merely about the threshold, it is about consultation. According to Rao, decisions that could reshape the High Court’s original civil and IP jurisdiction should be backed by discussion, data and meaningful engagement with the Bar. He says lawyers have practical solutions to offer, but were never taken into confidence. “Do we believe there are solutions we can offer? The answer is yes. Has somebody asked us? Perhaps not.” Do you think changes of this magnitude should be preceded by consultation with the Bar? Let us know in the comments below. Recently, my friend and I drove on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway from NH-9 to NH-44. The first thing we noticed was that there are hardly any potholes. The PQC (Pavement Quality Concrete) surface is still in excellent condition and the overall ride quality is impressive. However, we did notice some bounce and bumps at a few locations, especially near structures. We were driving a compact SUV at around 100 km/h, so the ride remained comfortable. I believe these would be more noticeable in a hatchback or a sedan. In my opinion, the issue is not with the PQC surface itself but with the settlement of the earthwork beneath it over time. One possible reason could be that the expressway was completed in a record 500 days, against a target of 910 days, which may not have allowed enough time for the embankment to settle fully. This is just my personal observation. Overall, I found the Eastern Peripheral Expressway to be in much better condition than the Western Peripheral Expressway. The plantation on both sides has matured beautifully over the years, making the drive even more enjoyable. Despite the occasional bounce, I genuinely enjoy driving on this expressway every time. Most importantly, this expressway has transformed freight movement by allowing trucks to bypass Delhi 24×7. Earlier, trucks had to wait for No Entry restrictions to be lifted, resulting in delays in freight movement. Thank you, Shri @nitin_gadkari ji, for delivering this transformative infrastructure. 🇮🇳 #ThanksNitinGadkariJi
