@FoxNews @TheLastAesir I don't remember a single J6er attempting to murder anyone.

NEW: Judge apologizes in court to WHCA Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen.
Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui said that he was “fascinated and disturbed” by Allen's treatment in jail.
Allen was placed on suicide watch when he was first imprisoned. Prosecutors argued that since Allen told investigators he did not expect to survive the alleged attack, he could be a danger to himself.
But an incredulous Faruqui wasn't convinced by that argument, drawing comparisons between Allen and defendants arrested for rioting at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“To me, it’s extremely disturbing that he was put in five-point restraints, a person with no criminal history. It’s troubling. I never heard of one Jan. 6 defendant who was put in five-point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that’s a problem.”
“At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he’s taken care of. Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to.”

@Serenitee_Sam A few years ago, I was going through some family papers with a nephew. I discovered that the family papers that were written in cursive were not accessible to him because he couldn’t read cursive!
I had to read them to him.
Not everything that people need to know is online!
English

Watching this feels like unlocking a core memory of sitting at a wooden desk with the smell of old paper in the air. Cursive used to be a rite of passage, but now it’s practically a secret language for anyone born after 2005.
There is a certain soul in the flow of a pen that a keyboard just can’t replicate. It’s hypnotic, it’s therapeutic, and honestly, that final flourish is the kind of closure I need in my life right now.
Who else remembers the struggle of getting those loops just right?

@TheSCIF There is a difference between “Illegally Colluding with the Russians, but failing to alter the outcome.” and “Illegally Colluding with the Russians, and succeeding to alter the outcome.”
The difference is failing or succeeding.
What is the same is that both are equally Illegal!

@45johnmac @HobbyFactcheck Every politician who has ever taken a bribe would like for you to believe that it was their own personal business. I’ll believe it when we get an administration that we can trust to properly investigate these matters.
Meanwhile you’ll keep your head in the sand & fingers crossed
English

@simonateba He also said nobody ever sought it before. But it’s in our Constitution, only Congress can declare war! Bush got approval for Iraq and Afghanistan! That approval lasted through Obama, Trump1 and Biden! So he, himself has had approval before! He’s unfit. x.com/calltoactivism…
CALL TO ACTIVISM@CalltoActivism
🚨BREAKING: Trump just said for the first time point-blank that he won't seek congressional approval to continue his Iran war, claiming, "Nobody's ever sought it before. "Nobody's ever asked for it before," which is absolute bullsh*t. This is INSANE. Trump ain't no king.
English

@LincolnShepher @CalltoActivism It’s such a shame that they don’t teach Civics in schools anymore. They really should go back to teaching Civics. Two or Three years of mandatory Civics, like it used to be!
We studied the constitution, court interpretations, the stated intent in the debates, and implications.
English

The left is MELTING DOWN again over President Trump doing his job 🇺🇸🔥
Commander-in-Chief means exactly that — when America is threatened, you ACT. You don’t sit around waiting for endless debates while enemies regroup.
Trump is focused on one thing: stopping Iran from ever getting nuclear weapons and protecting American lives. Period.
Meanwhile, the same people screaming “constitutional crisis” had no problem with past presidents launching military actions without formal declarations. The outrage is selective — and everyone sees it.
Peace through strength isn’t weakness. It’s how you END conflicts, not drag them out 💪
English

@bmoreviachicago @CalltoActivism George W. Bush sought and received two major authorizations that remained the legal foundation for military operations, and continued authorization under Obama, Trump, and Biden in the Middle East. The last conflict authorized ended under Biden on terms established by Trump.
English

@CalltoActivism It’s actually in the constitution. The problem is he’s right. Give me the name of the last president who actually got congressional approval for war.
English

@AnnieForTruth This is a little out of date now, but we can still pause and remember the good-ole-days when the price of gasoline was so important to MAGA!
🤭🤫

English

@Jollybgood @EricLDaugh I believe that all of the 1920s concrete was replaced between about 2011 and 2012. I think you should be able to find confirmation of that. Now the floor is solid enough that it can be cleaned with heavy equipment. Quickly and easily.
Who was president in 2011 and 2012?
🤔🤭🤫
English

@EricLDaugh Wait…? Obama neglected it you say. So I guess I was even worse during Trumps first term when did the same. Only Obama actually had it drained and cleaned.
English

🚨 UPDATE: President Trump DROPS this DISGUSTING photo of what Barack Hussein Obama allowed to happen to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting pool
Algae and goose poop was allowed to sit for YEARS
"This is what our Country was before, and after, 'TRUMP!'"
Cleanup and American flag BLUE coating underway! 🇺🇸
English

@EricLDaugh You do understand that after Obama and before Biden, Trump was president for four years! Right?
So Trump is more to blame for lack of maintenance than Obama.
The 1920s concrete was all replaced around 2012. (Was that under Obama? Oh yes it was.)
So it’s way more Trumps mess!
English

@Paulino8181 @bigwishwaster @RedWaveCrewHP But “Incorrectly” is spelled correctly. And “Correctly” is not at all spelled incorrectly!
Oh dear, what a conundrum!
😱🤣
English

@bigwishwaster @RedWaveCrewHP Incorrectly is the word that is spelled "incorrectly" lol
It's a good brain buster actually haha
English

@highbrow_nobrow But here’s the thing … Nobody can look at another person and know if they are here Legally, or not!
(At least not without “prejudging” them, which is Prejudice!)
So, The Vice President of the United States is stoking Prejudice, Fear, and Division!
What a sad state of affairs!
English

@bmoreviachicago @CalltoActivism What IS in the Constitution is the fact that the President is not allowed to declare war. Only Congress can do that.
So DJTs statement about congressional authorization being “unconstitutional” is absurd.
Nothing in the Constitution can be “unconstitutional”!
DJT’s just unfit!
English

@Joe67346734 @Dainallves And Joe is so insecure that she felt the need to reply and then also block me. What a shock! No guts for a simple debate that wouldn’t seem likely to go her way.
English

@Joe67346734 @Dainallves Well then amend the constitution. But until then constitution is amended, we have an obligation to protect and defend the constitution!
You can’t just ignore the constitution!
(That would be unconstitutional! And for anyone who has taken an oath, a violation of that oath!)
English

@Unscheduledsan1 @Suzierizzo1 It’s always been drained and cleaned each year. The 1920s concrete was all replaced around 2012. It’s tens of feet above the river level (the Tidal Basin, into which it drains). It’s just river water that’s pumped up. It can be drained by opening a valve. Much ado about nothing.
English

@lastaut2 @Suzierizzo1 They just stopped caring for it completely. I don’t like the guy, but I see it as an improvement.
English

@Unscheduledsan1 @Suzierizzo1 It’s going to have that anyway. The ducks and geese hang out there and leave dropping behind. It’s more like a pond than a swimming pool. Do you want people to see the droppings? Or see the reflections? If you wanted to see the reflections, then the bottom should be black.
English

@Suzierizzo1 So you want all the algae and shit in it ?
English

@Fonz303 @JRourke10883 @maniaUFO You will see satellites best just after sunset or just before sunrise. At midnight (EST) or 1:00AM (EDT) you won’t see them much. In between, you’ll find the shadow line where they seem to vanish or appear will tend to move across the sky. They must be in sunlight to see them.
English

@JRourke10883 @maniaUFO I see this all the time in my back yard in the suburbs. The fact that they disappear instead of being able to to track them across the horizon is difficult for me to understand.
