You don’t get to invent a definition because it suits your outrage. ‘86’ has meant refuse service / eject / get rid of for nearly a century — straight out of restaurant and bar slang. Receipts: • Merriam-Webster Dictionary: ‘86’ = to throw out / refuse service • Oxford English Dictionary: ‘86’ = reject, discard, eject (20th-century U.S. slang) • Classic diner/bar usage: “86 the burger” = we’re out / take it off the menu • Bartender usage: “86 that guy” = he’s cut off / remove him Nobody in the real world hears ‘86’ and thinks ‘kill.’ So 8647 = Throw Trump out of office!!! The only thing being manufactured here is the outrage — not the meaning.

No American wants to be illegally spied on by their own government. No American wants a kill switch in their car. No American wants their Fourth Amendment infringed upon by the government. Republicans would be wise to lean into this issue. Aren’t we supposed to be the party of constitutional rights and limited government?

This is 100% true. @GovAbbottPress is pretending that he got rid of the STAAR, but he actually increased it from 2 STAAR tests to 6 for 3rd graders. He also said it needs to be replaced and then used the results to say that schools are failing and took over local ISDs. He is not an honest man. We need a new Governor. I say vote for Gina!

The sad reality is most people just don’t care if that half-assed “attempted shooting” was staged or real. Trump lies constantly about everything, calls anything he dislikes “fake news,” and his administration can’t be trusted. Trump brought this credibility collapse on himself.
