Following on from my question yesterday about retired members of the Emergency Services I’d also be keen to know what (if any) services are set up to help them if they struggle in civilian life as a result of all of the trauma and intense work they do in those jobs. Is there anything in place or do they rely on charities like the Armed Forces

From reliable internal sources. The Met are struggling more than ever. They simply cannot recruit. They are now rapidly trying to recruit thousands of civilians to take places of officers in office roles who will then in turn be put back to borough policing. Just under 200 officers are on an immediate transfer from Met CC to frontline as numbers on the street now becoming critical.
