@OchukoThelma @madbysamad @Sir_Fin That’s not enough time to bond, to bond take a lot of work, time and effort. I don’t have any of that. The child will never understand and loves the mother more till she becomes an adult and understands better. Spending quality is the issue not just spend time.

You guys actually make excuses a lot you know. No can convince me that a parent will be too busy to bond with their children. Growing up my dad was the sole financial provider but I have way too many memories of movie nights with him, doing riddles, discussions , family outings to Cosmo or Wing Wah Buffet, Pizza nights, playing the Wii or Just Dance. Even now, he bonds with us so much, he would call us to invite us over for some Wine and Chinese which leads to funny / almost heated family debates. Made time to go shopping with us and get us ice cream after (4 girls so it got hectic) Even if he wasn’t able to attend school plays etc…I just never felt a way about it growing up because the bonding was always solidified. Yet he worked and was even studying at the same time. Can’t deal with excuses man. If your dad wanted to…he would.

As a mom, I’d like to apologize to anyone who felt offended by how badly he handled the process. Please forgive his shortcomings—to err is human, and to forgive is divine.
Collectively, we pledged to support him through the process. Please, let’s not abandon him now.
The aim isn’t to gaslight anyone, but to appeal to those who have held back from supporting him for one reason or another. Please find it in your heart to forgive him.
See this as a debt we owe humanity.
