Remember he was the one who increased the school fees of Anambra State University students? • Fees for non-medical students reportedly rose from about ₦36,000 to ₦86,000. • Medical students’ fees reportedly increased to around ₦120,000. He was the one who said "education is not for the poor." They went on strike several times. Remember market women were protesting over much taxes exerted on them during his tenure? By the time Dr Chris Ngige was leaving as Governor, the poverty rate was at 25%. By the time Mr Peter Obi was leaving it was 53.8%. So is that how he will put food on the table of the poor people of Nigeria? Infrastructure spendings by the government is one way government injects money into the economic arteries. But he was saving the money in the bank instead of using it to build infrastructure. So is that how he will put food on the tables of poor Nigerians? Honestly we are too emotional in this country and blinded by ethnicity and religion. How on earth do you believe that a man whose report card is like this will change Nigeria? Did you even know that it was Tinubu that began free education at the primary and secondary levels and paid their SSCE fees for all in government schools in Lagos among his contemporaries? President Tinubu said Nigeria will spend nearly half of projected 2026 government revenue to service its debts. Previous governments have exhausted all avenues for restructuring those debts. We are left with no choice but to continue repayments, as any attempt to default would damage Nigeria’s credit rating, especially since the country still needs to borrow to finance its infrastructure deficit.
