Electric Light Orchestra: Twilight (1981). Time was an unexpected ELO album with a big synth sound, not what people were expecting. It's a concept album too, about time travel to the year 2095 and the regrets of leaving home.
Twilight was the second single released from it, and it's a real banger: swirling synths, relentless drive and plenty of classic ELO flourishes. Surprisingly it only reached no. 30 in the UK charts.
Time is a really good album, very of its time but also very wistful and melancholy in the storytelling. Unusually the time traveller doesn't get to return home. They have to make the best of it in a future that seems disjointed and strange. In the end all they can do is Hold On Tight...

Remembering the spiritual predecessor to Rainbow Six!
Hostages (1988, Infogrames) was a tactical shooter/action game. The story is pretty simple: Terrorists have seized the French embassy in Paris and taken hostages. You command a GIGN counter-terrorist team in a rescue operation.
Gameplay unfolds in various stages, including the positioning of snipers across the street while dodging searchlights and first-person room-to-room combat to take out terrorists and escort hostages to safety
I feel it was really ambitious for its era, by mixing side-view stealth, timing, and careful shooting with pretty dope 3D interior views - for 1988 this was unique.

On this day in 1982: Canadian F1 ace Gilles Villeneuve dies after a crash on qualifying for the Belgian GP in Zolder. While lapping a slower car, the wheels touched, sending his Ferrari cartwheeling into the air at over 140 Mph. It was airborne for more than 330 ft before smashing into the ground and breaking apart.

@MonMdk @enbocacinefago Speak for yourself. I kept thinking about "Who was this creature" "How many worlds have this alien thing conquered like this" etc.
