Bruno Fernandes likes most of Mateus Fernandes Instagram posts. They aren’t international team-mates as Mateus is still with the U21’s. They would have been at Sporting at the same time but Mateus was in the youth setup. Bruno clearly recognises his talent. Mateus is having an excellent season and could be the ideal 3rd midfielder as he is so versatile (CM/DM/AM) and wouldn’t break the bank. His maturity on the ball and leadership signs have really impressed me this season ❤️

I have watched football for 34 years. And I can confidently say, this attack of Doku-Haaland-Foden-Cherki is the best I’ve seen since Messi-Suarez-Neymar. And I do not say it with hyperbole, but you cannot stop them. Haaland and Doku tear down transition heavy games, Haaland, Cherki and Foden demolish mid blocks, whilst all 3 of Doku, Foden, and Cherki feast against low blocks.
