“What if a female identifies as a male but plays on a female team?” Well, Colorado High School Activities Association has clear policy and procedures. Frankly, if even 1 male were to take female spot, we’d stand up firmly against it. Because the policy says “A transgender student shall participate in accordance with their gender identity” students play on the gender sports team with which they identify. If a female student identified as a male the student would play on a male sports team, as is indicated at the top of the chart. @ADFLegal @KristenWaggoner

BREAKING: The @usedgov has concluded that @JeffcoSchoolsCo in Colorado has VIOLATED Title IX by allowing males to invade female restrooms and sports. The district has now been issued a Resolution Agreement instructing them to: -Rescinding polices allowing males to invade female spaces. -Issue a public statement of their compliance -Adopt policies based on biological sex -Notify all staff, students, and coaches of the District's renewed policy change. Failure to do so will risk imminent enforcement action.

🧐Whatever happened with the US Department of Education's Title IX OCR violation case against Denver Public Schools? As of September, the district had asked for a 90 day extension and the case is not currently listed on the US Department of Education's OCR tracking site. ocrcas.ed.gov
