Women wearing jeans and tops will not be allowed entry in the temple. Dress code implemented in the famous Jain temple of Baghpat. Women have to enter the temple only in suit salwar and saree, half pants mini skirt jeans top have been banned. But on the other hand, Jain sadhus openly roam without clothes in the temples and give darshan to male and female devotees. Obscenity only happens from women's clothes, men who roam without clothes are called saints.

Mamta Mishra, principal of Subeam School in Hardoi, has been booked under the SC/ST Act. This is ridiculous. She may have been rude, ill-mannered, and unfit for the role of an educator, and people across castes rightly called out her conduct, I too did explicitly, but invoking the SC/ST Act here is an overreach. She absolutely did not use any casteist slurs against the parents. Cases like these will push people to start viewing every controversy through a caste lens before speaking. Why would any GC call out any non-castist bad behaviour by another GC against a Dalit if there’s a risk it could be twisted and lead to disproportionate repercussions under the SC/ST Act? Now some dedh-hoshiyar will say that her behaviour comes from her castist mindset. Absolute nonsense! By that standard, literally any interaction can be twisted into an SC/ST case, an argument, a scolding, failed in exam, rejected proposal, even an accident, just by claiming hidden bias. Second, Law deals with actions, not mind-reading. Unless there is a clear caste-based act, like a slur, humiliation, or targeted discrimination, there’s no legal basis. Turning every bad behaviour into a caste issue only weakens genuine cases and makes the law look arbitrary.

I paid close to 40% tax in the UK! I got fresh air Beautiful green spaces / every road was one! Regulated traffic Good roads / clean roads I could see the sky studded with stars from my home (now I see the neighbours building) My neighbor would have to take permission from all neighbours to elevate/alter his house (lest he obstruct sunlight / ventilation for us) and often fail! My rubbish bins and even garden waste collected on time I drank tap water and it tasted divine! Good quality groceries I swam in the local council pools (govt pools) which were temperature controlled! More importantly I had time to enjoy this all! P.S I love India to bits! And there’s a good reason why I came back…despite this!

@hemsdoc Agreed to most points living in UK. Tap water tasting divine - that’s exaggeration. Most UK homes get hard water yet drinkable and tasted not so good!

Open letter to Indians in America. -- Dear brothers and sisters from Bharat: Like I did 37 years ago, you arrived in America with no money but with a good education and cultural heritage from Bharat. You achieved outstanding success. America was good to us. For that we must remain grateful - gratitude is our Bharatiya way. Yet today, a significant number of Americans, may be not the majority but not too far from it either, believe that Indians "take away" American jobs and our success in America was unfairly earned. You may think the next election will fix this, but your choice would be between people who hate our Bharatiya civilisation and people who hate civilisation itself. That is the "hard right" vs "woke left" battle. You are mere bystanders to that conflict. Meanwhile there is one thing that is true now and will be true in the future: the respect Indians command world-wide will substantially depend on the fortunes of India herself. If India remains poor, the woke left will give us moral lectures with pity and the hard right, different moral lectures with scorn ("hellhole") and we must not confuse either with respect. Respect in today's world, along with prosperity and security, comes from one source: a nation's technological prowess. India produces sufficient brain power to achieve that prowess but alas we exported so much of that talent, particularly to America. As we develop that prowess in India, our civilisational strength will assert itself. As difficult as it is for many of you to contemplate this, please come back home. Bharat Mata needs your talent. Our vast youthful population needs the technology leadership you gained over the years to guide them towards prosperity. Let's do it with a missionary zeal. Respectfully Sridhar Vembu

@Alexandr4Denman They are immigrant Tamils from India(TamilNadu) and srilankan Tamil diaspora. They are supporting a party called NTK contesting assembly election in TamilNadu. It has nothing to do with politics there. They believe that the message will be conveyed to people who vote.

The principal has come out stated her position. It had nothing to do with books being bought. Apparently the parents harangued her for 3 hours during the vaccination drive & she snapped. IMO that’s a perfectly legitimate reason to snap.
