Senate Democrats’ reckless refusal of good faith attempts to fund @DHSgov has resulted in this 60+ day-shutdown and undermined the bipartisan work of the Appropriations Committee. @SenateGOP will deliver the resources to protect of our nation and enforce our immigration laws.

Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Americans have already seen an 11% increase in average refunds compared to last year. CBS News reports that the average tax refund will increase by about $1,000 per filer. I’m looking forward to seeing more great results!

Republicans are moving forward with a budget resolution that will allow us to fund the critical functions that Democrats refuse to support. Law enforcement. Drug interdiction. Border security. Protecting children – both our own and the unaccompanied minors who suffer human trafficking and worse under Democrats’ open-border policies.

For Democrats, this is all about open borders and defunding the police. Republicans are moving forward to fully fund Border Patrol and ICE through the end of @POTUS’ term.

Democrats have walked away from bipartisan negotiations and voted 16 times to block funding for Department of Homeland Security. Now, Democrats are furious Republicans are using reconciliation to fund law enforcement because they want to defund the police.

Great to meet with @SDAHO today to hear about how the @TaxCuts’ Rural Health Transformation Program is benefiting hospitals across South Dakota.

Because Democrats are playing games with our national security, Republicans are going to fund Border Patrol and ICE for three years, so that they have what they need to do their jobs throughout the entirety of President Trump’s term.

For 67 days now, Democrats have refused to fully fund @DHSgov. That is unacceptable. And it’s why Republicans are going to move forward this week with a budget resolution that will allow us to take up a funding bill for the law enforcement and border security components of DHS.

Democrats have chosen illegal aliens over Americans’ safety and law enforcement. Senate Republicans will fund ICE and CBP for years to come—without any Democratic votes—to keep Americans safe.

Tax Day was last week, and many hardworking Americans reaped the benefits of the Working Families @TaxCuts. More than 25 million American workers were able to deduct overtime pay from their taxes. And more than 6 million workers were able to deduct their tips from their taxes.

Kimberley and I are praying for a speedy and full recovery for @ChuckGrassley. Will be Gr8 to have him back in the Senate soon!
