You can genuinely make something that feels alive with off the shelf hardware. Walnut runs multiple RL policies (PPO) on a 3 dollar Xiao board, and has a Pi Zero 2W that runs the brain and peripherals (screen, mic, speaker, camera). @chrisvtom @LeRobotHF @Thom_Wolf

Walnut is my new favourite home robot A tiny quadruped with sub 100$ BOM. It has all the compute it needs for a natural gait, high quality voice control, and to feel the world around it. @victoroldensand and I built this little guy in three weeks to introduce a new type of social robot, one that doesn’t talk too much, and can explore and interact with the world on its own. Join our discord to learn more about it. discord.gg/TmTzA5s24V

Computer-use agents fail silently on most of the web. The page never loads — Cloudflare, Akamai, captcha — but the agent keeps clicking like it did. I built guestlist to know upfront. ~100k sites probed with a real Chrome fingerprint. green = your CUA gets in. red = it doesn't.

This is Spain today: I cannot docker pull postgres:18 because there's football games happening. Yes, you read it well. This image is being served from @Cloudflare , which is apparently blocked massively during football games by mafia-managed @LaLiga Ofc, VPN -> pull completed

Alysa Liu recently went viral for her Teen Vogue rant on why robotics progress is bottlenecked not by models, but by infrastructure. “Everyone keeps talking about better models, but half of robotics development is still just getting the stack running. Setting up simulation, wiring reward functions, collecting data, figuring out compute. By the time everything is finally working, you’ve already burned weeks. If robotics is going to move faster, the infrastructure around it has to get simpler."
