Great that teachers have been promised medical-grade face masks, according to media reports. Hopefully they arrive unlike the PPE promised to dentists within seven days in June 2020 by then Health Minister @SimonHarrisTD Never happened. @DonnellyStephen @roinnslainte @HSELive

Don’t forget one of the unsung heroes - Natually delighted for Christy, Yvonne, Kellie’s brothers and her community. But lots of credit and love for Kellie’s partner, Mandy, who has played a huge supporting role in #kellieharrington Olympics success. Well done, Mandy! ❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

Well this is great. Finally recognition that whilst the rollout of the vaccine is slow, there is a team of phenom medically trained, sharp aware, PPE conscious dentists out there willing to step in to speed things up.

Thanks @DonnellyStephen We look forward to discussing arrangements for dentists to act as vaccinators but will also be insisting that all dental team members are vaccinated urgently as a priority.

The same applies in dentists' surgeries given the close-contact nature of the service they provide. That is something I will be taking up with the vaccine task force. I will be seeking the assurance that dentists and their staff will be vaccinated as part of group 2. 2/2

Speaking at Leaders' Questions last Thursday, the Tanaiste, @LeoVaradkar said dental staff must be prioritised for vaccination along with GPs and the other staff in practices who deal with the public because they are at risk too. 1/2

@DonnellyStephen @CcoHse @AmbulanceNAS No sign of vaccines for Pharmacists yet I see. Can't expect us to vaccinate others without any sign of it ourselves. The dentists are in dire need too. Important as they are, the health service is more than doctors. Delighted to see at least they haven't been forgotten.
