Advocate Ngoato seems very "dodgy." I don’t know how many clubs he owns, but his place in Harties is called Bubbles Champagne Garden. He seems very well-connected in the ANC; he even owns an entire suburb near the Hartbeespoort Dam. That is a massive amount of money. 💀 Since the ANC runs Harties, it's interesting that he complained so much about the municipality being racist. The ANC gave out government land. That land is where the nightclub is on. #MadlangaCommission #ProtectGeneralMkhwanazi #ADHOCcommitee

EXCLUSIVE Several senior police officers, including Generals, have been arrested in Pretoria on corruption related charges. It is linked to the Medicare Tshwane District contract. Sources say the arrested cops were part of the bid committee. We also believe that a former senior employee of Vusi “Cat” Matlala is behind bars. They are being detained at a police station in the capital. All those arrested will appear in court tomorrow. @pule_jones

At the #NkabindeInquiry, Sphamandla Mhlongo testified from a secret location, saying he fears for his life. He accused KZN Police Commissioner Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi of working with rival KwaDukuza taxi operators against his group. Mhlongo said Mkhwanazi called a peace meeting about 300km away, but he could not attend because his bodyguards had been arrested by the police. Despite this, Mkhwanazi criticised him for failing to show up. He also claimed that colleagues later told him that Mkhwanazi had been asking about his whereabouts, saying, “Where does Mhlongo live?”

Let me be absolutely clear. Any attempt to privatise TMPD and outsource security will be rejected. Completely. Public safety is not for sale.
Law enforcement is not a commodity.
And the protection of our residents will not be outsourced to private interests. TMPD will remain a public institution. Strengthened. Professionalised. Accountable to the people of Tshwane. @CityTshwane

The revelations emerging from the Madlanga Commission have exposed a painful truth. Corruption and failure within parts of our system have compromised the safety of our people. This is not abstract.
This is not distant.
This is real. And it has consequences for every resident who expects protection and instead finds vulnerability. Let me be clear.
Let me be firm. Corruption in law enforcement is not just misconduct. It is a betrayal of the people. And in Tshwane, that betrayal will be confronted. Decisively. Without hesitation. @CityTshwane

Supported. It's not deportation (removal of a person who has no legal right to stay in a country) but transfer of Prisoners to serve the sentence in their home country. As the Minister said, the law will need to be amended to make this possible. Footnote: @TheBMA_SA is attending to the challenge of porous borders with technology (drones, body cams, amphibious vehicles etc).... supported by SANDF. ❤️🇿🇦🙌
