@coventry_city’s 24th league win equals the club record of most wins in a season . The record was set in the 1935-36 Division 3 title season (42 games) & equalled in the 1958-59 Division 4 promotion season (46 games).

An exceptionally wet February for much of the Midlands. Many locations recording more than twice average monthly rainfall.

Disappointed with today’s defeat, but thankfully the chasing pack (other than ITFC) failed to take advantage of it. Let’s move onto Swansea with positivity. 🩵 #PUSB

Sack the producer who chose this question on #bbcqt: "Is it not highly disrespectful to remove Winston Churchill from banknotes? This move appears to be surrendering to the radical left-wing!" This is a textbook example of both a leading and a loaded question, making it unsuitable for a supposedly neutral political debate on a flagship @BBCPolitics show. The @BBC should be embarrassed, and @Ofcom should do its job. As most teenagers know, leading questions pushes respondents toward a particular answer by implying what the “correct” response should be. In this case, the wording “Is it not highly disrespectful” suggests that the expected answer is yes, and frames disagreement as rejecting the premise. The follow up claim that the change “appears to be surrendering to the radical left wing” also directs the discussion by presenting a specific interpretation as if it were obvious “common sense”, rather than one (pretty extreme) possible view among many. It is also a loaded question, because it uses emotionally charged language and builds in controversial assumptions. Terms like “highly disrespectful” carry strong moral judgement, while the phrase “surrendering to the radical left wing” implies political pressure, pejoratively labels supporters of the change (a clear majority of the ordinary British citizens who responded to the Bank of England consultation last year) as extremists, and suggests weakness or betrayal of national values. These assumptions force anyone who disagrees to first challenge the framing before they can discuss the actual issue, such as the Bank of England’s reasons for changing the design, the possibility of celebrating nature on banknotes, the historical precedent for redesigning currency, and the response to a public consultation. Because of this framing, the question deliberately turned debate into a (culture war) clash over the assumptions in the wording, rather than a thoughtful discussion of the policy itself. For a public service programme that aims to encourage balanced and informed debate, a more neutral question would simply ask what people think about the decision to replace historical figures like Churchill with images of British wildlife on future banknotes, allowing different viewpoints without steering the conversation in advance. The "DISRESPECTFUL" decision, made by the "RADICAL LEFT" Bank of England, followed a public consultation, with further consultation to follow. I'm reminded of these real and similarly absurd anti-left loaded leading questions actually chosen by @bbcquestiontime producers in past episodes: bankofengland.co.uk/news/2026/marc…

So let me get this straight. FIFA is threatening to penalize Iran for not coming to the world cup in the United States, which just bombed the hell out of them and this is the same FIFA that gave the president of the country that bombed them a peace prize.

I love this club 🩵. We bossed the game, and got a deserved 3-0 win. Onyeka, Tats and Grimes were immense. To top it off, it was great to see Sky Blue Sam dancing to the pre match tunes 🤣 #PUSB

9 March 1946. 33 fans were killed (not 38 as reported) when a barrier and a wall collapsed at Burnden Park, the home ground of Bolton Wanderers, during an FA Cup game against Stoke City. It was the worst British football stadium disaster until the Ibrox Park disaster in 1971.
