@NewsMurray That's awful. The redundancies will come from the very people who had nothing to do with this debacle. Sack the board, and a few executives. Leave the tech people, runners, sound, camera, make up etc - the ones that do the work - in place with good pay and conditions.

The Irish Mail on Sunday reporting tomorrow that the Government plans to split RTE in two. 2FM to be sold off, salaries will be peaked at €176,000 and that Ryan Tubridy will be asked to hand back €345,000. The re-structuring of RTE will see 400 redundancies.
