THIS MAN, not Archbishop Lefebvre, is a hero for breaking from the SSPX when it undoubtedly was detrimental to him in the near term.
The FSSP has its own problems, to be sure, but obedience and homage to Peter is always the right answer.

@JMJCircello @SamuelA88570297 @thepopecast It certainly is not a good look. Active participation in non-Catholic "worship" expresses a false unity and risks scandal and indifferentism. Pius XI expressed that we should not partake in joint prayer or anything that could blur the line.
English

@JMJCircello @SamuelA88570297 @thepopecast Non-infallible acts of the ordinary papal magisterium, including ecumenical gestures and documents, call for consideration but do not bind the conscience in the same way as defined dogma and can contain error or imprudence. This here warrants disapproval and prayer for correction
English

@lefebvrists @SamuelA88570297 @thepopecast I blocked him because he was absurd, but between you and I what is Rome teaching here?

English

@SamuelA88570297 @JMJCircello @thepopecast the ordinary papal magisterium calls for religious assent (internal respect and docility) but is not guaranteed infallible. It can contain error, even on faith and morals, though the Church as a whole will not be led into definitive heresy because of promises of indefectibility.
English

@lefebvrists @JMJCircello @thepopecast He can error privately but not in outlining teachings. This is classic v1. I don't understand what your confusion here is.
English

@SamuelA88570297 @JMJCircello @thepopecast Vatican I didn't teach that the Pope/Rome can never teach heresy. It only defined that the Pope is infallible when he speaks ex cathedra under very precise conditions. Outside of that, he can err (sometimes gravely). V2 is uncontroversial where it repeats teaching on faith/morals
English

@lefebvrists @JMJCircello @thepopecast Vatican 1 established that rome could never teach heresy. God would bot allow it.
English

@SamuelA88570297 @JMJCircello @thepopecast That isn't absolute. Authority exists for the preservation of the Faith and salvation of souls. When a superior commands what harms the Faith (ambiguous or erroneous teachings, destructive liturgical reforms, or policies that promote indifferentism), a Catholic must resist.
English

@JMJCircello @lefebvrists @thepopecast You're being purposely obtuse about my statement. If one listens to the see of rome and lives their life according to that guidance. One will reach heaven. If you don't believe this you have a satanic view of the church and Christ's promises of salvation. Schism is mortal sin.

The Carmelite convent that gave us the 16 Martyrs of the French Revolution will close: "The Carmel of the Annunciation, founded in Compiègne in 1641 and following the Rule of St. Teresa of Avila, was the 53rd foundation in France at the time. It had a unique impact, giving the Church 16 holy martyrs. These 16 nuns were expelled from their monastery during the French Revolution and guillotined in Paris on July 17, 1794, out of hatred for the faith."
