@matthew_sigel For Figure, most of the people don’t understand truely, but feel it’s excellent! For those professionals who seem understand it but actually is jealousy. The so call analysts pretend to write it in their own way and mislead the public

$FIGR stock has been weak in recent days following Q1 operating data and the recirculation of a negative piece from the DC research shop "The Capitol Forum" first published in February. Unfortunately, their bear case relies on a fundamental misunderstanding of how blockchain features actually work and focuses on process issues long solved. This confusion, arguably in bad faith given the ease of confirming key facts, leads to unnecessary negativity on a story focused on cost efficiency and consumer welfare. Bear Argument 1: Figure's automated title searches skip traditional insurance and can miss senior liens. Rebuttal: Figure is replacing the 30-year old MERS paper registry with DART (Digital Asset Registry Technology). While MERS relies on a private database that requires constant manual reconciliation, DART is an active digital registry that connects via APIs to institutional data aggregators like ICE Mortgage Technology and DataTrace. These links allow the system to listen for real time updates from local recording offices. It then records the lien as a unique digital asset on the Provenance Blockchain to achieve Lien Perfection (the legal status of being first in line for repayment) with a permanent audit trail. S&P and Moody’s grant AAA ratings to these loans explicitly because this digital source of truth is more verifiable than a manual paper snapshot or a 30-year old private database. Bear Argument 2: Remote Online Notarization (RON) will fail in a foreclosure crisis because it lacks a physical paper trail. Rebuttal: Currently 45 states have permanent laws recognizing RON as a legal standard. Figure also follows MISMO standards, which are the universal technical rules for digital mortgages. These standards ensure that a digital file is the legal equivalent of a paper document. This provides regulators with a better audit trail than traditional folders filled with physical papers. Bear Arguments summary: FIGR's Rapid growth has achieved by cutting corners through auto-approvals. Rebuttal: FIGR's Deterministic Underwriting process acts as a blind audition for credit, stripping away human bias and the possibility of manual error. By using hard data handshakes with a borrower’s bank or payroll records, the "blind" system only approves loans that meet strict, pre-set rules. This tech stack is the primary reason Figure has compressed production costs to 700 dollars per loan, compared to the 11,000 dollar legacy bank average. Preliminary Q1 operating data shows the platform is scaling rapidly: >Marketplace Volume: 2.9 billion dollars (+113 percent year over year) >$YLDS in Circulation: 598 million dollars (+83 percent quarter over quarter) >Partner count: More than 300, vs. 160 at IPO. Best leading indicator for future volume. A decline in borrowing rates would definitely help the stock. The recent US-Iran cease-fire and the subsequent 16 percent plunge in oil prices may provide the catalyst for lower interest rates in the Spring selling season. $FIGR is now a top 5 position for the first time.

The U.S. Treasury is planning to require stablecoin issuers to comply with strict regulations and must possess transaction freezing capabilities. I think Figure is engaged in the RWA industry and has consistently adhered to the highest standards. Am I correct?@mcagney

@wstoep64 @lei2924 I think someone is trying to take the blockchain data for the first five days of April and extrapolate to the month, but they aren't taking into account the weekend and holiday...

I got a 1099-misc from @coinbase custody. I have three accounts at Coinbase - I think the grand total of assets is $10. The $1099-misc said I made $1,600 last year. I called @CoinbaseSupport support. Total nightmare. You sent me the 1099-misc. "Please tell me where that money is from?" Instead I got endless runaround that ended with, "You need to consult your tax advisor". Thanks alot. I can't believe people still use them. And now that I'm on the rant, why do they get to hold up Clarity? No one in blockchain cares what they think.

@mcagney @wstoep64 And market might think about the low digit of M2M/Q2Q, they might neglect that Q1 is lower due to the seasonal reason

@mcagney @lei2924 Clearly there are some quant shops that use FIGR as a play thing. The inexplicable gyrations with no linkage to fundamentals is almost as if boiler rooms in Queens are manipulating the stock.

It’s not a money fund, it’s a face amount certificate. And it took two years for the S1 to get approved. I would expect the next one still takes at least a year, even with a better SEC. But biggest issue is the transfer agent requirement - I am going to DC to lobby that next week.

Things are clearing up in the analysis of $FIGR's transactions on Provenance Blockchain. Just a sneak peek regarding accurate loan origination numbers across the last two years. Although past 9 months have been quite stagnated, March seems like the first real growing month. Working on a deeper dive for March to see the breakdown of the loan characteristics, hopefully this will shed more light. Stay tuned.
