Germany got Hitler because of ego and hubris. Imagine the gall of needlessly starting the deadliest war in the history of Europe, losing it, and then having such a bruised sense of pride that you try to conquer the entire world to compensate.
A genius doesn’t start a war on two fronts and prioritize the transfer of Jews to death camps while those trains could have been used for logistics to support the men in his army, who were being slaughtered on both sides of the continent.
Hitler was a self-aggrandizing idiot who destroyed Europe and his own country for nothing. Anyone who thinks otherwise either has a foolish reading of history or is trying to rehabilitate Hitler’s image for a reason.
