As a paying YouTube subscriber, I just want to permanently remove Shorts. My son uses YouTube to find piano tutorials and other useful things, but most of the time he gets pulled into an endless stream of pointless shorts that the algorithm feeds him.

Sometimes I play with the idea of starting a company which makes really nice electronics that feels as little “tech” as possible. Ie where the user only have to interface with “tech” when absolutely necessary. Audio player that uses little nfc tokens, no screen. TV that just shows what’s input (with a hardware input switch.) Etc Because today it’s actually quite hard to find electronics that are “human first”, almost everything is “tech maximalism”, from toothbrushes and cars to baby monitors and door handles

@LinusEkenstam I think it’s fascinating how terrible Spotify is at providing meaningful context for songs and artists. My son asked me to play Eurovision and we found a playlist but there’s ZERO information about anything so you don’t even know from which country each track is.

Spotify acquired sonantic.io in June 2022, now they are releasing DJ. DJ is a personal music recommendation agent, with voice quality powered by Sonantic We are very close to have a HER like operating system… Apple where are you?

@LinusEkenstam Agree. Been missing listening to great radio hosts playing good music but not sure that has mainstream appeal enough to make sense for Spotify.
