@leobuildingapp that's actually interesting, gamifying something like that can really help to motivate, I'll definitely try it 😀
I'm building a personal branding platform that helps people like me consistently create and brainstorm content across social platforms

@gavrogs Bro, just launch it. We’re all waiting for this
English

1500+ on waitlist 🔥
sorry for the wait, but we are doing this completely different and it is not feasible to launch within the timeframe i initially expect
headers.io is going to turn heads, the real future of advertising
big changes and pivots that will shape the success of this company are being made NOW, not later
we don't want to launch as an option, we will be THE option
Gav@gavrogs
just crossed 1,000 people on our waitlist 🥳

Ok, back to my proper design process.
I sketch on Paper first to find out what I need to display.
I'm the primary user, so I ask myself first.
Then I ask other people who use it.
This led to the deck view changing drastically, but for the better.
I skip the step in the middle and from the paper sketch I go straight into code.
Claude mocks up the functionalities and logic, then I manually adjust the UI in SwiftUI (by hand, no AI) until I'm satisfied.
And I think I'm almost satisfied here. Almost!
This update is coming to the main app in about a week, still lots of bugs and tweaks to fix.
But I'm excited again! Pouring a shitload of passion, energy, heart and delight into all I do now.
And that brings me joy with every interaction.
It all falls into place. FEELS great to use.
This design process is also making it more human to build this, even when using quite a lot of AI tools.
I am starting to believe, that this kind of grounding in "reality" is needed especially now with AI tools. Otherwise you may go too far into generic / slop and completely miss the "heart" of your product.
I'm all heart (and resting heart rate lol!)
And I'm pouring that heart into this product on subpixel level.
Thank you for following this journey with me, we're just getting started!

Build in public #4 🚀
Just added a new feature to my step counter app:
Challenge your friends and see who walks the most today.

Marc made $66,040 in October.
I made $0.
But I built my first app.
We’re just at different stages of the same game.

I’m blonde.
I’m bad at making decisions (especially when I’m hangry).
So I built an AI-powered web app in 5 hours to streamline choosing what to order from a restaurant menu.
Didn’t win the $25K at the @clerk @nextjs Hackathon, but I did win a tool I actually use.
Big love to @jlengstorf, @codetv_dev, and our judges for making this my favorite SF hackathon yet.
Leave a comment if you want to try it out at dinner tn🍣👩🍳
