Al momento chi passa dai playoff va direttamente in fascia 4, e diventa un X al sorteggio di dicembre da riempire con i risultati di marzo. Con questo cambio, le qualificate dai playoff verrebbero inserite secondo ranking. E l’Italia, se si qualifica per I Mondiali, con quel sistema sarebbe sicura teste di serie, spostando la Germania in fascia 2. Il sorteggio sarebbe sicuramente più complicato perché non si tratterebbe più di una X ma di una variabile in caso di vittoria di una o dell’altra.
