@mysteryguides hey we did the Windsor one today but got stuck on clue 13...
English

@GoGreenGadgets1 hey: a family member of mine sent you a phone but forgot to wipe it. Apparently they are having a hard time getting paid or the item returned. Could you help please
English

@mcdoogle13936 sometimes, especially during exams or if I don't understand something
English

@joeljrigby @abakcus I kept it simpler:
10^2+11^2+12^2 =365
13^2+14^2=365
So 2x365/365 =2
I just wondered if someone really smart had a cool solution
English

@leonsegal @abakcus Know your squares...
This is easy ...
You can see it was meant to be fair to children as it quickly converges to 730
100 121 144 169 196
Group for easy numbers
121 169 =290
144 196 =340
Then combine the 100
100+290= 390
Then combine results
390+340 = 730 which is 2x 365
So 2
English

@joeljrigby @abakcus Is there a trick to this or just mentally work through it methodically ?
English

@petersteele @ID_AA_Carmack You can use the chrome debugger for frontend js, it works pretty well
English

@ID_AA_Carmack I use both but always default to logging first. Why? Because setting up proper, in IDE debugging for JS and PHP is a pain in the ass. PHP is admittedly a bit easier, but JS is a damn nightmare.
English

I am always bemused by programmers that don’t use debuggers. It isn’t just about breakpoints and examining variables, but also being able to break into a process that has been running for an hour and issue something like:
(observation_ring*255).to(dtype=torch.uint8).view(128,16,4,3,128,128).permute(1,0,2,4,5,3).cpu().numpy().tofile('results/ring_128x128.rgb')
English

@florinpop17 Things that helped me: sleep ritual Eg floss/mouthwash/brush teeth/cleanse/tone/moisturise/eye bag stuff. Clean sheets/pyjamas/room. Eye mask/ear plugs. No media/screens before bed except kindle device. Open window for fresh air. Cold room. Good luck!
English

@sama Better and inexpensive code model.
Cheaper realtime API.
Jet packs.

@magheru_san @mochanerd @BardzoKurwa @michael_kove @deedydas It has often failed for me when, ironically, I've given it complicated requirements. It imagined things to work that just didn't and the explanations were convincing but ultimately wrong/hallucinated
English

I've been using LLMs for almost 2 years now and rarely seeing hallucinations these days in code generation, and don't remember any while explaining or refactoring code.
They still sometimes happen in code generation but they're usually quite minor like passing Go variables as value when a pointer was expected, which the compiler will find immediately.
English

@magheru_san @mochanerd @BardzoKurwa @michael_kove @deedydas As long as it is explaining it correctly and not hallucinating
English

@mochanerd @BardzoKurwa @michael_kove @deedydas For sure but you can also ask it to explain you the generated code and try to find issues in it.
It just takes longer than if you know those things.

@unclebobmartin Imagine if Rambo had never drawn First Blood... would there even be a story?

@RedactedOut @ant0nill0s @Rainmaker1973 He's right. The pressure at the bottom of the objects is larger than at the top creating a net upwards force. The alu has a larger net difference and creates more upward force, tipping the scales towards the iron
English

@ant0nill0s @Rainmaker1973 yeah my point is, that is a trick question, only the water is part of the equations, the amount left after displacement, buoyancy does not come into play
