@elliotgreenIP Alcohol is for over 18s, because we recognise it can be harmful and addictive. Children aren’t ready for it at a young age. We restrict lots of things that are harmful for children. Social media has benefits, but it is outweighed by the harms - an age restriction is sensible.

I welcome the social media ban for under-16s which was announced this morning. As a society, we must do everything we can to protect our young people, and this is a huge step towards doing that. What do you think? I'd be interested to hear your views in the comments.
