@ThierryAaron Where’s your evidence climate change caused the downpours?
English

I was on @BBCNews talking about the impact of #StormBert on my local community in South #Wales🏴
"It's so important that not only do we phase out fossil fuels, we must actually also massively now invest in climate adaptation... we need to see that from the government right now"

@MotoNutJob He set off with me behind him. I’m an ex despatch rider and the red mist soon descended. So I passed him and tore down the mountain on a full send - losing the front end a few times on the way. But I kept it up and arrived at the cafe way ahead of him. He apologised on arrival 😂

@MotoNutJob I was on the original SV international press launch in Tenerife. I was on the Street version and paired with a Fast Bikes guy on the Sport. I was editor of Biker mag. He assumed I was Captain Slow and told me he’d wait for me at the meeting point and get the coffee’s in … 1/2

@GeorgeCochrane1 “Ok, so I’ve identified some great dogging spots - here, here and here. Shall we head off to the first one now, or do you want another glass of Dutch courage first?”

@AutoInfatuation Both options are brilliant. The 5 litre V8 is a gem. My own experience with JLR over the last 10 years suggests they are very reliable. My Jags, Range Rovers and Land Rovers have all been exemplary - even in tough conditions, including high speed / high mileage EU road trips.

@lesanto @jm130tt True but Bentley re-launced with a highly desirable, beautifully designed, W12 engined ICE car that absolutely pandered to their "Target Market" of well healed people looking for a sporty GT that they could drive to the airport to get on their 1st Class trip to....

@thinkdefence Yes. Action against those aiding and abetting this escalation is long overdue. It’s time to get tough with Iran, North Korea and Russia. Playground bullies are rarely stopped by anything other than a show of overwhelming force.

@AutoPap When Triumph Motorcycles changed their logo at the end of the 90s, the traditionalists and arm-chair experts vented their spleens in exactly the same way - although without the benefit of so much social media amplification. Triumph didn’t listen, but they did sell a lot of bikes.
English

Gobshites don’t get that #Jaguar are aiming at a new market. Just as they didn’t when the reborn Triumph Motorcycles redesigned the Triumph logo at the end of the 90s. ‘Traditionalists’ hated the bikes too. But they sold strongly and 20 years on, the brand is still flourishing.
Richard Porter@sniffpetrol
The Jag teaser campaign has already reached the 'gobshites suggesting what they should have done' stage. Amazing.
English

@AutoInfatuation I wonder what Jaguar’s target audience think of it? Because, frankly, they’re the ones who matter here. It’s bold to try and release a new range into a new (for them) demographic but sometimes bold is best.
English

@duncanburrow @jm130tt High end car manufacturers don’t see themselves as selling cars. They know that, for the vast majority of their customers, they are in fact selling ‘image’ and ‘lifestyle’.
English

@jm130tt But what are they advertising? No car or product is in the advert. I’m confused.

@thinkdefence Most were destroyed after the war because the authorities deemed them unsuitable for civvies to use on public roads. But now you could just swap the two stroke engine for an electric power unit and they’ll blend instantly into the urban transport environment 😉

@Only9built Given that the Muskrat’s obviously working for Putin, it’s now called a Moskvitch

Love this car.
D300 Diesel engine eased up steep Welsh country lanes and hills like they were flat.
Wafted back home on the motorway doing a steady 38mpg.
And next week I’ll be taking it to attend a black tie dinner in London.

@MotoNutJob I understand your point, it's their's to do as they please with.
But this is like your next door neighbour setting up a rifle range in their garden - with the targets on their side of the party-fence between your properties.
Not your business how they elect to use their garden!
