🚨 | NEW: Imola has emerged as a late contender to potentially host an F1 race at the end of 2026, in the event of further cancellations to circuits currently on the calendar. There is even the possibility Imola could host the season finale. [@wearetherace]

@wearetherace Sainz is the most overrated driver in Formula 1. In Baku, he only qualified p2 because Williams sent him out at the right time and in Qatar he lucked into it because of McLaren's strategy.

@F1BigData @xavigazquez compared to tiny airboxes from the last few ferrari's and the sf26 and the amr 26 this is so big and almost seems unnecessary compared to the rb22

I have not spoken about this before, but everything seems to point to Mark Mateschitz, the son of the late Dietrich Mateschitz, as the main cause of Red Bull’s problems. My belief is that he was the driving force behind the dirty campaign to remove Christian Horner and that, in doing so, he helped destroy one of the most successful teams in F1 in an incredibly short period of time. History now appears to be repeating itself, with someone on the shareholder side accusing Max Verstappen of being disloyal to Red Bull. Max has been part of Red Bull since he was 17, while almost everyone else has either left or been forced out. Max and Horner have remained in weekly contact. Adrian Newey attended Wimbledon with Horner and they may well end up working together again at Aston Martin. The Thai shareholder supported Horner, while Helmut Marko has always stood firmly behind Max. That leaves Mark Mateschitz as the missing piece of the all the problems. Let us also not forget that the Austrian parent company conducted two extensive investigations into Horner in an attempt to find evidence against him. No such evidence was found, yet he was eventually sacked because of “poor results.” When it comes to who is really pulling the strings, Mark Mateschitz is the major shareholder who appointed Oliver Mintzlaff and Laurent Mekies. They are not the real power. They are simply puppets in a much bigger power game.

🚨 According to De Limburger, tensions are very high within Red Bull The report claims Red Bull's leadership and shareholders are 'increasingly frustrated' that Verstappen has once again delayed making a decision, believing they have done everything possible to keep him at the team. They reportedly expected 'greater loyalty' after years of success together and the significant financial rewards Max has earned during his time with the team. From Max's perspective, however, the report says he simply wants to use the contractual clauses that were agreed upon in 2022. He is also said to have concerns about Red Bull's long-term competitiveness and the amount of motorsport expertise remaining within the organization following several management changes. According to the same report, Verstappen has until October to formally notify Red Bull if he intends to trigger his exit clause. A move to another team, an early departure from F1, or even taking a sabbatical are all described as serious possibilities.
