If you use custom tailors, Loro Piana has a very nice navy tonal seersucker in their Mare fabric book. It's a whisper light 6/7oz cloth and made from wool-silk instead of cotton. I think it hangs better and has that bouncy feel of wool without wearing warm. Also less preppy.

There are a lot of terrible white wines, especially in the US.
But great white wine is elite.
Chablis. Meursault. Chassagne-Montrachet. Pouilly-Fuissé. Sancerre. Pouilly-Fumé.
If you want to understand white wine, start in Burgundy and the Loire (France).
Pouilly-Fuissé is a great Burgundy entry point because it can be generous and round without becoming a butter bomb.
Chablis is sharper and mineral.
Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé are Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire at a very high level but solid price.
Higher in price, you have Meursault: richer, rounder, and more luxurious.
And Chassagne-Montrachet: can give you that power and texture people think they want from California Chardonnay, but with more nuance and elegance.
The problem isn’t white wine.
The problem is mass-produced white wines tastes like buttered popcorn, vanilla frosting, and oak chips.

At this point I’ve seen some version of the metaphor of AI as gym equipment that works out for you (so you don’t get anything out of the workout) multiple times. And I really think it’s one of the better comparisons out there. It’s simple, familiar, and people really get it.

It's so great. Begun in 1959, I believe still working on it at the time of his death in 2011. Published adapted sections of the Iliad, didn't know Greek, worked from other translations. And the titles! "All Day Permanent Red" so great.

I'm waiting for the people mad at Emily Wilson to discover the greatest, most free-wheeling translation of Homer in the last century: Christopher Logue's War Music. But Logue discourse wouldn't suit the current culture wars, so he'll be ignored despite the richness of his work.
