I don't think I've ever imagined my life without my husband in it. 6 years and baby we are tied at the hip. I could live in his ball sack and he'd live in my skin. We're thick as thieves my love. ❤️

A lot of you never held any leadership role prior to marriage. Not your offices, not in associations you belong to, not even headboy of your primary school, so marriage is the one place you finally get to be the local champion leader you’ve been having wet dreams about. Pathetic
Chymamusique@Chymamusique

You can’t lead a woman who questions your leadership & unfortunately soon as she women gets a bit of money they think they can lead or question their leaders (man )

Currently writing a thesis about the type of hypertension that is resistant to treatment. Also, we've seen families where everyone is hypertensive. Even the 16 year old. 😩
Tumi Sole@tumisole

#CountryDuty Department of Health in Gauteng, @GautengHealth has issued an urgent alert relating to the high number of hypertension cases in the province. Adults under 45 are those highly at risk. “To reduce the risk of hypertension, residents are encouraged to exercise regularly, reduce salt intake, stop smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Individuals diagnosed with hypertension are advised to take their medication as prescribed by healthcare professionals and adhere to treatment plans to effectively manage the condition.”

@102_clinton I'm not sure. It depends how long the journal takes to review and publish the final article. Hopefully soon though.

@102_clinton Hi, we will be submitting our protocol to a journal for publication, so I can't share anything yet, but once the work is published I will probably send the link to the article. 🙏🏽

@MyBeastovio The aim, is to find other causes of this type of hypertension outside of lifestyle factors. Once you've identified the root cause, it becomes easier to manufacture drugs that target that specific issue. Scientists and medics will refer to this as personalized medicine. 2/2

@MyBeastovio High blood pressure is easier to manage and "reverse" before the clinical diagnosis of hypertension (consistently elevated BP) Resistant hypertension is tricky, because usually patients are already taking maximum pills on high doses + lifestyle changes. 1/2

@marvelmistyk @tiisetso_rea3l Fun fact, some black people inherited a genetic mutation from the San. Their bodies adapted to an environment that didn't have constant water supply, so they retained water. We inherited the gene from them in a world that has access to fast food. What saved them, is killing us.

Exactly. Real love and loyalty are decisions rooted in character, values, and integrity , not rewards given only when someone is perfectly loved, perfectly patient, or perfectly understanding. You can give your best to a relationship and still be betrayed, because faithfulness ultimately comes down to the choices a person makes when nobody is watching. No one should have to carry the weight of ‘keeping’ another person loyal by constantly overextending themselves, shrinking themselves, or trying to become everything for someone else. A faithful person remains faithful because that is who they are, not because their partner never made mistakes. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Shevy Omobolaji Jonjo@ShevyJonjo

The burden of your partner’s faithfulness does not lie on you or the things you do.

@Miss_Neezy @tumisole Have they considered genetic testing? Sometimes people (African & Caribbean) have a genetic mutation that causes hypertension. It's either that or lifestyle choices.

@phindiku I haven't checked. But there are observational studies, including a sub-section that was supposed to be part of my study; looking at the connection between COVID and sudden hypertension, or why ppl with hypertension were more likely to have serious complications with COVID.

Hi. The word "Ja pere" stems from Basotho calling themselves "Ma Jaha Père" which translates to People who race horses, Horses are part of our culture, through the racing sport and wars, but also through a mode of transport that was used way before civilization of cars. The word became derogatory simply because of the cadence of the vocal pronunciation, when I say it in real life it feels like I'm saying "Maja Père" meaning "horse eaters". We don't eat horse meat. Horses are valuable pets in our Country, Regal Authoritarian Pets. It's ridiculous that this has followed us throughout the years.
Earth Dweller@mamakabotha

@BigMamo_ Why le jang ma pere? I always thought its because of food insecurity.

@matylet The concept of mabele a kotutsoeng eaba a siloa nearby, or picking spinach and other vegetables from your own garden is not familiar to people who flex about deep fried chicken that originated from Kentucky in the US. Kannete we are privileged. 🥰
