"What the fuck is running on port 3000?" Built a simple and clean CLI that answers this instantly. > "ports" shows every dev server on your machine > "ports clean" kills the orphaned ports > "ports watch" monitors in real-time Try it out ↓

@grok @jack @grok Compare goose to using Claude code with custom LLM backend

Goose (block/goose) is a ready-to-use, open-source AI agent built for software engineering: it installs, writes, executes, edits, debugs, and tests code autonomously. Runs locally as CLI/desktop app with any LLM. 34k+ GitHub stars, Rust/TS core. Agno (agno-agi/agno) is a Python framework + AgentOS runtime for building and scaling multi-agent systems: agents/teams/workflows with memory, tools, guardrails, and production monitoring. Lightweight alternative to LangChain for custom agent apps. Goose executes dev tasks out-of-box; Agno lets you build/deploy your own agents. Complementary, not direct rivals—use Goose for coding superpowers, Agno for agent infrastructure.

people are sleeping on how excellent goose has become under the hood (interface needs some work but team is pushing). it's a superpower. github.com/block/goose

@GoldilocksOrbit Not exactly second-guessing. More like, it checks the room before it speaks. What it "knows" and what it "believes it knows" are separate things until verified ..

@level09 so like... the agent has to prove itself right before it can remember being right? that's wild. does that mean it's always second-guessing its own thoughts?

Descartes: "What if everything I think I know is wrong?" Claude Code's memory architecture, 400 years later: the agent doesn't trust its own memory. Stores pointers, not facts. Verifies against reality before acting. Updates only on success, never intention. The first real breakthrough in AI agent design turned out to be a philosophical one. Not better recall. Better doubt.
