Once again, the entire story is clear as day: - Trial ends in a mistrial due to hung jury - Paxton’s office wants to retry him - Victim says no and that they don’t want to testify again - Because they no longer have evidence to convict on felony charges, they have to soften the charges to get an admission of guilt and a revocation of his license to practice law How is this so hard for you to understand?

Ken Paxton is a terrible candidate. But in order for Democrats to win, millions of voters would have to show up for Talarico. You better vote.

Are you saying Paxton should have subpoenaed the victim and forced them to testify and relive their trauma again? That’s what you’re saying?

Do you even know what happened in this case? The trial ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury, and Ken Paxton’s office wanted to retry it but the victim said he wasn’t going to testify again and he wanted to move on. Because of this, they weren’t going be able to get him on the felony elements so they softened the deal so that they could get him on something.
