There were only 4 of us, Republicans, that signed the discharge petition to force the vote to release the Epstein files.
Thomas Massie, Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and myself.
Trump has come after us one by one ever since then.
The President told Speaker Johnson not to allow the vote to happen, but we courageously went against the President and refused to budge and overrode the Speaker to force the vote on record.
It was only when all Members of Congress had to vote on record did Republicans finally find their intestinal fortitude to do the right thing and vote YES to release the files.
Until then, they were absurdly obedient to the President who was doing everything in his reign of terror to hold them back.
Even now, all the files are still not released, and the Epstein class remains protected.
Wars are being waged, the markets are being manipulated, and the average American is being driven further into ruin while the Epstein class reigns and has yet to face any accountability.
I will never regret signing that discharge petition, refusing to back down, and resigning as I want nothing to do with a President and a Party that bows to the Epstein class.

@lex6m @Vince66KY @bigredmatt1011 And? So?
The assumption is some LOCAL planning board had some say in the matter. (Though I'm not so sure).
THEY should have insisted on re-using land already zoned and currently sitting idle.

A 30-year Ohio horse breeder says she’s never seen anything like it: “I can’t take the tick situation anymore. There are ticks everywhere.”
Ohio is facing a massive tick explosion with new species appearing, populations exploding, and Lyme disease cases skyrocketing from ~40 in 2010 to over 2,800 in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Gates Foundation has funded Oxitec’s research on genetically modified cattle ticks, and farmers report seeing mysterious “boxes of ticks” on their land.
Now a new Lyme vaccine from Pfizer and Valneva is in the works.
Funny how that works.

Would you spend tens of thousands of dollars per month to lease this retail storefront while hundreds of illegal vendors openly sell counterfeit merchandise directly outside your business, use the surrounding sidewalks as a public latrine when nature calls, and face no meaningful enforcement from political leadership?
This location has remained vacant since the 2020 riots, and the surrounding corridor now has a growing number of empty storefronts, deteriorating street conditions, and recurring urine-soaked contamination zones where the unlicensed vending operations concentrate.
At what point do our garbage politicians acknowledge that tolerating chronic disorder, illegal vending, counterfeit sales, and unsanitary street conditions actively drives away legitimate businesses, investment, jobs, and tax revenue?

The history is now pretty clear -- Massie's first wife had suffered significant chronic health problems for many years, but he death at age 51 from auto-immune related issues was sudden and unexpected.
Their children were are adults and married so they were "empty-nesters."
But while her death might have been sudden in the way it happened, both knew.
BUT, Massie became a very different person in the aftermath of her death. Maybe she was always a moderating influence on his instincts, and without her by his side he has let himself succumb to some of his worse political instincts.
His second wife came from the orbit of Rand Paul -- a fellow traveler on libertarian issues. It seems possible that she might be having the opposite effect on him as his first wife.
He's just not the same guy.

This is what local accountability looks like:
In Festus, Missouri, a town of about 14,000 people, the city council quietly approved a $6 billion Ai data center to be built on 360 acres just north of Highway 67.
Residents say they were never properly heard. Meetings were held in private. Documents were released too late. A week after the approval, the town held a regular election. Voter turnout jumped 129 percent.
Every single council member who had voted yes lost in a landslide. A 70-year-old first-time candidate beat an 8-year incumbent by 40 percentage points.
Now a recall petition is circulating to remove the mayor as well. The lawsuit against the city is already filed.
Has your local government ever been held accountable like this? 🔥
