@salimfurth @kevin_degood That’s fair. Not new cities, but new rowhouse developments happening on the scale of several city blocks. I think most new city projects come out looking more master planned and New Urbanism-y than this (eg Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach, FL)

@harryh @nilocobau Idk. Philly drivers have a similar or greater disregard for human life relative to NYC drivers, but Philly’s narrow streets automatically enforce traffic calming and make the pedestrian experience less stressful imo

The most obvious urban planning win in Philadelphia would be to pedestrianize Passyunk Ave from approximately Broad St to Federal St. Would instantly become nationally famous and a must visit destination for visitors.
