@Fuglydoodah @Wangleberry I nearly bought a music box with this melody yesterday, precisely because of this tweet

@b_chshevik @BallardAndrew @mxdshipwreck @Joan_of_Snark_ Okay this is deeply cool and interesting; thanks for sharing this!!
English

@Loefars yeah. you know that's not a personal shortcoming or anything to be ashamed of, right?
that's your brain processing information so fast that it can *tell* the cost/benefit of continuing to do the thing is *not worth it*.
your body not doing something it's not wired to do.

@LookAtThisRock @lingerie_addict this was one of the most magical things about discovering maternity pants: they can pretend to be jeans, but they're zipper- and button-free, so you can layer ANYTHING over the top and there are no weird lumps. Pajamas for cosplaying as an adult.
English

@lingerie_addict 1. Belts ruin everything with the under-shirt buckle bulge
2. Why is every fucking blouse under $100 made with the sweatiest, thinnest fucking materials known to man (cheap materials & cheap unethical labor, I know but damn why is that all that's available)
English

@tomgara My parents started hosting just last year and deliberately keep prices low, without minimum stays, & the company is constantly trying to get them to charge more. But they like getting young folks & people on adventures. And apparently that’s weird now.
English

@drinabunnn @punished_cait It’s so hecking charming. Only started watching it last month but it’s like a balm for the soul.
English

@Ali_Taheri_1 @bielleogy My mom specifically got a medical fridge/freezer for their ADU kitchen, because she found that all the commercial home-use ones required defrosting (regulations?), and she didn't want it out there! It's kind of magical
English

@bielleogy Avoid the ones that have auto-defrost function. It melts the ice periodically which have negative effect on the samples in there
English

@SiteRelEnby @ZeDingo @AP Whoa, that sounds really awful and not okay — it’s never okay for someone to treat you like that, no matter any reason they give. They’re in charge of their own behavior, and you didn’t “make” them do that. I’m so sorry you’re in that situation <3

BREAKING: The Biden administration has moved to require patients see a doctor in person before getting attention deficit disorder medication or addictive painkillers, toughening access to the drugs against the backdrop of a deepening opioid crisis. apnews.com/article/prescr…
English

@sbearbergman Inevitability of phone calls, even if you are an elder millennial. Doing things while radically exhausted, either in the middle of the night or middle of the day. HAVE to prepare several meals a day. Water bottle cleaning?! Getting WAY better at regulating my own giant feelings.
English

@twittysuch @clhubes “Crap from the road” is such a particular kind of treasure — ours were tiny Mickey/Minnie’s with a suction cup (???), one from a kid at a restaurant, one from a parking lot, one from under a free library on the sidewalk.
English

@pkoonce “Yes, on my bike!” My mom likes to say, “ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer”
English

@PatrickLenton Ngl deeply relieved that the one I know does not live there
English

@sliwka_PL @notjustbikes typically follows a few days later! Nebula is a great way to get everything earlier, if you have the budget & are impatient. And YouTube gets the discussion/comments.

@dylansti02 @blowdart @rebexxxxa Not In My Back Yard: especially folks who might generally think something is good (e.g. affordable housing), but not want to see it or live near it
English

@blowdart @rebexxxxa I don’t know what NIMBY means and I’m afraid to find out
English

@duchess1183 @zunetopia all of the good people I have known with ferrets were universally not-dudes, so this checks out
English

@vlvtelvis @JillianWeise Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act provides just that — when death is coming soon anyway, it can be a massive relief to not be suffering and at the whim of hospitals. I hope the rest of your life is beautiful and as low-pain as possible. <3
English

@JillianWeise I'm so torn on this issue. I'm most likely looking at a slow, painful and expensive death (I'm in the US) in the next ten years. I'd appreciate having the option when the time comes. OTOH, pushing it into areas outside terminal illnesses or intractable pain is horrifying.
English

@paleoteny @legotrillermoth where do you think he shops. theyre full outfits so likely not thrifts
English

@VanishingUnder @jaywerber if you want one in the future and don't want to shell out for an Aranet4 (we love ours, but $$$), the Vitalight Mini is nearly as good for a lot less patreon.com/posts/co2-sens…
English

@jaywerber I don’t have a measuring device with me unfortunately. There seems to be a decent amount of air circulation, but no overhead air jets like on airplanes.
English

@AmericanFietser rest is so important. Rest is revolutionary. We can't all be "on" all the time, and claiming that we can is a Protestant work ethic lie. Hell yes to noticing you need a break.
