In 9 working days, 11,000 people will lose support & 400 staff face the prospect of unemployment. Today we stood at Belfast City Hall to raise awareness of the detrimental effects of this funding cliff edge. We're calling on the NI Executive to help us & protect vital services.

It’s 13 working days until the VCS face a funding cliff edge. The proposed allocation of the Local Growth Fund has not changed. We need local politicians to take action to save local jobs and vital services for local people. Tag your MLA below to bring this to their attention!

Huge congratulations to our Chief Officer, Paula Jennings, on being awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year’s Honours for her outstanding service supporting adults with learning difficulties in Northern Ireland. A truly well-deserved honour. We are very proud! #MBE #KingsHonours

Delighted to represent Mencap ni at independent living fund celebration event in Stormont. So many examples of how ilf has benefited hundreds of disabled people - it needs to be re- opened to new applicants here! @mikenesbittni

The system needs reform, no one disagrees with that, however this bill - does not come from that standpoint… This is discrimination and flies in the face of equity of equality and human rights #KillTheBill#CoProduce with us… ensure #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs going forward 💜✊

End of term is such a happy time for most families but not for the parents at @Mencap_NI whose kids with special educational needs still don’t have places for next year. The lack of communication from the EA & failure from Dept Education to address this crisis is not good enough.

As a member of the Committee for Communities I am pleased both Scotland and Wales have joined our call for ‘meaningful engagement’ before any future changes to benefits for people with disabilities happen. #MeaningfulEngagement #DisabilityBenefits #benefits

Lack of synchronised collective action by government departments continues to fail to provide paid and meaningful employment for people with disabilities. NI has the worst employment gap for disabled people in these islands. #MindTheGap #InvestInSupportedEmployment
