So he invented a pseudophilosophy to rectify that situation, and now a bunch of postliberal failsons are obsessed with him because he offers framework for their own rage over the fact that most people don't want to live in their medieval theocracy.

As others have pointed out already, left vs right originated with the French National Assembly. Those on the right supported absolute monarchy and the aristocracy. Those on the left supported democratic political reform and what we would call today “capitalist” economic reforms

I think people having the drive to go to the No Kings protest is commendable however I think that "No Kings" is really just antiquated and dated. A protest with that name and that purpose would have worked and the early 1900s or 1800s. It should have been the No Capitalists protest and had a list of demands AND concrete consequences if those demands weren't met. Then those consequences will be carried out without hesitation. That would have been better.

My dad used to work in commercial real estate development. The amount of hoops for land owners to be able to build stuff is insane. Like San Francisco once told him that if they wanted to buy land to build hotels, they had to set aside a portion of it to build affordable housing

Well, I'm just going to drop this here and make a lot of people mad. Since even before October 7, 2023, I voiced my concern that TPUSA was platforming and also employing people who were neither conservatives nor good people. After October 7, 2023, it became more obvious as several of those regularly featured at TPUSA events or on staff were clearly antisemites. It went beyond grift to outright antisemitism. Now, some of those same people have turned on the organization and would aid a transgender adjacent murderer to advance their own insane conspiracy theories and agendas. They were platformed and normalized by the organization they now attack. Discernment years ago could have prevented what is now happening.
