I get why some conservatives feel disconnected from the LP. But honestly, I’d take the culture of real people and grassroots activists over the staged corporate politics of the major parties any day. The liberty movement still has more authenticity, independence, and willingness to challenge power than either establishment machine.

Since I'm being criticized from behind a block, I'll have to quote tweet this response to it.: I am in a way impressed by the collection of completely fake quotes in the Tim Starr essay linked above as proof of my bad reasoning. He just paraphrased me in the least charitable way, but then puts quote marks around his pretended paraphrases, beginning in the very first sentence. Anyone can search the kindle or various online pdf files people have posted to see for themselves whether they check out.

The first thing a candidate for president on the LP line should answer is what did you do during the Lockdown just six years ago?

If @LPNational is remotely serious they should be doing EVERYTHING possible to prepare for a Thomas Massie presidential run. If the GOP blocks him out like they did Ron Paul the LP should have a red carpet ready for Massie to run third party. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

Libertarians in the Libertarian Party: If Thomas Massie ran as a Republican in 2028 and was on track to win the nomination, do you think the LP should still run a different candidate, endorse Thomas Massie, or change the bylaws to provide the flexibility to cross-nominate him like Donald Trump wanted the party to do for him in 2024? There is a correct answer.

My mother Domi O'Brien was recently diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. The good news is, it appears to be isolated to the breasts & hasn't spread to the lymph nodes, and surgery should completely remove all of it. She goes in for surgery on Thursday (tomorrow). She has an excellent team of doctors, but it is a scary thing to be facing. My older brothers are of course at her side for this. I will be heading to New Hampshire in a couple of weeks to assist however I can in her recovery (somewhere around June 9-16, I have not bought plane tickets yet). This will definitely be a family focused trip, but I hope to see some friends while I'm in town. I may be an atheist, but my mother is a proud Celtic pagan & polytheist, and I'm sure she'd appreciate every prayer, vibe, magic, wishes, energy, candles and any other form of directed good will from spirit or deity you wish to muster to her health and recovery. May the doctors succeed at banishing every last bit of cancer from her body. 💕 Thank you for your good wishes... & fuck cancer.

@Gnome4308 All I know is that each state is different and the paths to being a L(l) ibertarian are different for all. So how would I know.

How can we best defend/achieve liberty for the American people, by working through the Libertarian Party, or by pursuing it outside the party entirely? I freely admit that I don’t know.

Lots of people are going to launch exploratory committees over the next year. There are 2 important criteria to consider: 1) Are you willing to play kingmaker for a cabinet position or spot on the transition team? 2) Would you step aside if a certain former congressman ran??
