I put together all my debate notes, platform ideas and resumes in my campaign for Chair of the Libertarian Party into one 19-page document. It's a comprehensive strategy of direct action, politics and policy with a special section on Rural America, long-neglected by the Party and the Movement. Three resumes are included, legal, political and policy. The ideas in this document will make the Libertarian Party a player in American life after 50 years of political irrelevance. drive.google.com/file/d/1wxerPB…

I had the great fortune to learn economics from Dr Hans Sennholz. In the years since and all the great economists I have studied with and learned from, Prof De Soto is closest in style and substance to Sennholz. Science + passionate defense of a free society + ethics of individual responsibility. Listen learn enjoy. Our health care system sucks cuz the government runs it. 18 percent of GDP, half paid for by government. Least healthy wealthy country. Solution. Voting? Nope. Lobbying? Nope. Voting with your health as in the Walk for Liberty? Yep! That’s part of my platform for LP Chair.

If I am elected Chair of the LP in May, the party will have its first-ever, comprehensive RURAL strategy. See the memo. Why is this important? Cuz 97 percent of the country is rural. And because rural voters have been our most reliable supporters for 50 years and it’s time we recognize that fact.

Honored to have my meme featured in the NYT article! 🤗 “Then he landed on his favorite, a photo of himself playing the banjo, with accompanying text that read: “Here’s a little song I wrote called ‘I’ll still win, but if I lose, it was worth it.’””

To all of you fuming in airport lines today, your misery traces back to July 2002-- when the GOP led house voting overwhelmingly to create TSA as part of a new fedgov department known as "Homeland Security." This was sold by Dick Armey to a very willing George W Bush the same way the CIA was sold to Truman: as a "consolidation" of existing agencies, reports, channels, etc. Efficiency! And hey, if a few airport scanners need to be sold to this new department, so be it. So instead of owners- airlines- working with airports to secure air travel, we get the worst combination of inept and sinister: DMV/USPS meets Michael Chertoff. Ten Rs voted no. Chris Cannon (UT) John J. Duncan Jr. (TN) Jeff Flake (AZ) John Hostettler (IN) Jerry Moran (KS) Ron Paul (TX) Tom Petri (WI) Tom Tancredo (CO) Charles H. Taylor (NC) William M. Thomas (CA)

1/ Exactly 16 years ago today, I was arrested in Weare, NH for filming police during a traffic stop and charged with felony wiretapping. I took it to the 1st Circuit — and won. Gericke v. Begin found citizens have a clearly established right to record officers performing their duties in public. One arrest. One landmark victory for transparency and the First Amendment. Still standing tall. #FilmThePolice #1A

On this day, March 23rd, 2010, the Affordable Care Act passed, mandating coverage and expanding federal control over healthcare, increasing costs and bureaucracy. This "Obamacare" shifted responsibility to government, who should have no say in private enterprise. The Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania critiques healthcare mandates, advocating for market solutions without coercion. We believe competition lowers costs. Let's empower choice over state control.

Part of my platform for Chair of the LP is that we must start teaching economics. Not government school, not commie colleges, not some think tank. The Libertarian Party must start teaching economics. If you want a job done right, do it yourself. I have a one hour program in the can. Here's the intro: Economics in Five Lessons ~~~~~ Power and Market Don’t Mix By James Ostrowski Introduction. The decline of the American economy over the last 50 years is best explained by economics. Only when the people of this country understand the basic economic principles and political dynamics that explain our decline, will they support the policy changes necessary to revive that economy. This essay will outline the five lessons of economics that we believe are most important for understanding our plight and how to get out of it. The laws of economics cannot be evaded or avoided any more than the laws of physics can be ignored. Human beings are free to engage in any action that is physically possible. Neither physics nor economics says otherwise. People are free to jump out of airplanes without parachutes, and people are free to enact minimum wage laws. We are, however, absolutely unfree when it comes to avoiding the consequences of our actions as dictated by physical or economic law. The jumper will be crushed to death by a collision with the ground which unleashes an amount of energy strictly determined by his mass and speed and the density of the ground. The minimum wage law will cause all those perceived by employers to be unable to produce sufficient gross revenue to justify their wages, not to be hired, or, worse, to be fired. It will cause unemployment. Our only options with respect to natural laws are to ignore them at our peril or study them so we can adjust our behavior accordingly and be happy. Here’s lesson No. 1: 1. All economic resources are scarce. Etc. Half hour lecture, half hour Q and A.
