@SkirmishMc @KrimsonRogue Also the expectation that taking someone's book and putting it to film means I'm going to watch a film that retells the story in a different medium...hardly unreasonable. It's been done very well way too many times to say that's an unreasonable expectation.

@lierinMY @KrimsonRogue "Unfaithful" adaptations exist and can be good. Just because it shares the same name and characters does not mean you were promised a "faithful" adaptation. You are grading the film against a standard that it never even attempted to fulfill based on unreasonable expectations

Peter Jackson started production on LOTR by proclaiming that they were going to respect Tolkien's work and the source material, and it's not considered one of the (if not THE) greatest film trilogy of all time. How well do you think this take on Narnia is gonna fair?
