This was the case last year as well. It’s always obvious to people like us. We have a serious issue with fans being overly optimistic and biased each season. Fans overate the front office, roster and staff every year. We did nothing in the offseason, made no change and people thought we were going to be a playoff team. Comical.

Q had no business leaving Ragans in there. It was clear he wasn’t right after each pitch. Wasn’t confident/comfortable. And it gave 2 free runs for Cleveland. Crappy day for Ragans when he looked sharp.

I disagree I think Lane Thomas is showing flashes of greatness with his .118 average .250 OBP and .426 OPS. He also has a cannon in the outfield.

The way the Royals talked about Avila this spring led me to think he’d be more effective.
