@earlwithana Many companies are finding this out, seeing their spending on AI tokens and pulling back.

I watched Uber COO Andrew Macdonald’s interview on Rapid Response with Bob Safian, and honestly, it had me shaking my head. Uber spent years acting like they had transportation all figured out through algorithms, AI, and “efficiency.” Now Macdonald is admitting they underestimated AI costs, burned through their annual AI budget within months, are slowing hiring, and still aren’t seeing the results they thought they would. Drivers have already lived through Uber’s idea of “efficiency”: lower trip offers, more unpaid pickup time, weaker surge, softer incentives, and oversaturation. So when Uber starts talking about needing savings, drivers already know where that usually comes from. Us.

Currently on hold with @Uber_Support for them to update my license plate in their system back to my vanity plate. Every time I update a document, it gets reverted to my non-vanity plate and I spend 25 minutes on the phone to then get passed to specialized email support team.

Loving my @BambulabGlobal A1 3D printer. So far, the only print failures I've had were due to a dirty build plate. I've used it to print solar panel mounts, fidget spinners (my favorite), and sink drain plugs, among so many other things. If you're looking to get started, get one!

@DriversC2C I follow the 8 is great, 9 your mine rule... I try to just keep it no more than 8 over when a passenger is in the car.

@DriversC2C OH OH OH - I now have my tablet in the car with me with Uber open so I can see surge areas while I'm on ride or on my way to pick up - I cancel if there is a really good surge.

@DriversC2C And target the languages of the teams that are coming in and add signs in your car in their language...
