My wife's friend just found a great guy after two years of Hinge Hell. Asked her what the biggest issues were with the men she dated before him. She didn't hold back. Bear in mind, she's a catch. Pretty. Teacher. Christian who wants a family. In her late-20s. Not a woman with impossible standards, or one who's playing games. The way she puffed out her cheeks when I asked said a lot before she even started. The biggest issue? The combative nature of men. She said so many guys got defensive so early, it was like the environment had conditioned them to fight before anything had even happened. But she kept coming back to the guy she's with now. What separated him wasn't that he was naive about all of it. He just refused to let it walk into the date with him. "It felt like he actually wanted to be there, and get to know me." The men who couldn't connect with her were right about a lot. They just couldn't hide what it had done to them. And she felt it on every date.
