Random reply dudes be like:."OMG. It's OCD to want the vendor you pay to do the cabling right. If it works, why care? " Random reply guys obviously did not check the replies: 1. 15-20% of the drops were not working. It wasn't just this closet, but two others as well, just like this one. 2. These were 4510R+E switches in the picture. The cables were completely obstructing the exhaust of almost all the switches. Airflow and cooling are important. 3. Troubleshooting L1 issues in this mess would be a shitshow. We've ALL been there with rats' nests like this. It isn't fun. 4. A vendor was paid to do this slop work. Their scope of work included cable management and clear labeling of the cables. That clearly did not happen, as one can see from this picture. Cabling doesn't need to be perfect, but it should be manageable.
