@CommotionLotio1 @TracketPacer So it is entirely possible for end users to have versiv main frame units that are green and blue-gray instead of the traditional gold and blue color scheme of the fluke versiv main frames

@TracketPacer I remember a guy in my shop having some chinese knockoff of a Fluke Network tester and it was actually pretty good. Obviously would've loved the original but they're so nifty

i love a modern cable tester that’ll just be like “in case you’re too dumb to read this… you got cable water”

@CommotionLotio1 @TracketPacer What happened here is netally (company with the bluish grey and green colored tools) is spun out of fluke/netscout and retained the network testing tools, including the one touch AT (g2) which shares the versiv mainframe with the fluke dsx and optifiber/simpliber test modules 1/2

@malief46 Was the locate command invoked? I hope that AP is having its retirement party before heading off to recycling

@AdjacentNode The point at which a switch turns into a very expensive, very unhappy hub

The first time I saw a MAC table get exhausted, it wasn’t an attack, it was my core switch begging for an upgrade. But the end result? Same chaos. Switch flooded, performance tanked, packets flying everywhere. MAC table exhaustion isn’t just a hacker trick, it’s a real risk if you’re not watching your gear. Hope that helped, and don’t forget to follow me, you nerds. #networking #it #technology #tech #stem #cybersecurity #security

Annnndddd... the first thing I do after getting back from #CiscoLive is to island a remote switch by enabling arp inspection before trusting the uplink port. No OoB console, and I didn't even do the "reload in 5" trick.
