@DominicCarb You are relying on hope for there to be an upside. The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

$VIX creeping up to 28 again. Add to that... > a VIX futures curve in backwardation > new 100d low's for the S&P 500 ( $SPY ) > weakening domestic and global breadth > $96 crude $WTI > credit spreads beginning to widen. 2 years ago, I wouldn't care about any of this and I'd keep trading. But now, I'm being EXTRA selective and cautious on trades. Maybe next year I'll learn to completely sit on my hands.🙈

$VIX at 28 this morning. Last 3 times we were here: - Oct. 17 → rallied - Nov. 20 → rallied - Mar. 3 → 2-day bounce, then lower VIX pops are historically good bets to fade. But vol has been climbing all year and we got a weak reaction last time. I think a rally or no rally today will set the tone for the next couple of weeks.

The broker shown by HS is most likely his genuine one. Forex and crypto scams usually refer people to questionable brokers that pay them referral commissions. Usually offshore brokers that simply use MetaTrader. They often pay influencers a percentage of referred deposits and may use tactics such as delaying or restricting withdrawals.

@daytradingzoo @cursor_ai Apparently you get like $500 worth of usage on the Ultra plan ($200/m), I was able to get ~$600 usage since 10th Feb from Claude on their $100 plan without hitting limits.

Yep. My @cursor_ai Ultimate Plan lasted exactly 10 days. I ran out of tokens whilst building something truly amazing 🥲 Dare I switch to On-Demand fees? I'm not sure if I can control myself 🤣

48 hours ago @claudeai released the Wealth Management plugin and of course I had to dig in and check it out. I've created a thread on how to use it and what are the inputs and outputs. I'm sharing all the PDFs involved. [1/12]

@zhuokaiz In response to your concern about frequently switching back to Anthropic: I configured a function in my .zshrc that allows me to run "glm" instead of "claude". This launches Claude Code as usual, but with my GLM-specific environment variables applied automatically.

This is a HUGE win for developers. Claude Code is excellent, but the $200/mo Max plan can be expensive for daily use. GLM-5 works inside Claude Code, with (arguably) comparable performance at ~1/3 the cost. Setup takes ~1 minute: • Install Claude Code as usual • Run `npx @z-ai/coding-helper` and follow the steps One caveat: switching Claude Code back to Anthropic is a bit cumbersome today (would be nice if the helper tool supported this). For now you'll need to switch back manually: 1. Open ~/.claude/settings.json You’ll see something like: "env": { "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN": "your_zai_api_key", "ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL": "api.z.ai/api/anthropic", "API_TIMEOUT_MS": "3000000" } 2. Remove at least: • ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN • ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL Either way, this is a big win—and price/performance in coding tools is indeed moving fast!
Z.ai@Zai_org

Introducing GLM-5: From Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering GLM-5 is built for complex systems engineering and long-horizon agentic tasks. Compared to GLM-4.5, it scales from 355B params (32B active) to 744B (40B active), with pre-training data growing from 23T to 28.5T tokens. Try it now: chat.z.ai Weights: huggingface.co/zai-org/GLM-5 Tech Blog: z.ai/blog/glm-5 OpenRouter (Previously Pony Alpha): openrouter.ai/z-ai/glm-5 Rolling out from Coding Plan Max users: z.ai/subscribe

@dvassallo @rijkioo @peterszarvas94 Google in the EU is headquartered in Ireland, and hosted/served from within the EU itself. Google Inc maybe an American company, but it's not the one operating in the EU. This is fairly common with today's infrastructure.

No, it's an American company that provides the website (service) to EU citizens. On top of that, it will have offices, assets, employees, data centers etc all over the EU. It would also most likely pay tax on revenue generated from countries where businesses pay for ads or citizens pay for premium.

The thing many EU people fail to understand about all this is the absolute absurdity of a government official in any country dictating how you run your website. Imagine if the EU fined Vercel for changing the underlining system from lambda to containers, Or YouTube for switching from Flash to HTML based players. This is a terrible precedence to allow to happen regardless. Because if you allow it to happen to X what stops it from happening to your apps too?
wanye@xwanyex

The idea that if a company introduces a concept like the blue checkmark, then they are ethically and legally obligated to operate that system in exactly the same way for all time and can never use the idea of a blue checkmark to mean anything else, is completely absurd
